Van’s Say Cheese! Snack Packs Review & GIVEAWAY!

**PLEASE NOTE: While Van’s Natural Foods DID provide me with this product to test at no cost, I was not in any way paid for my review. The following opinion is hereby my own.**

When I was diagnosed with Celiac’s Disease in 2001, I’ll be honest: it was HARD. And it was virtually unheard-of to be able to walk down the aisle in your local grocery store and pick up a ready-made gluten-free product. Nobody knew what gluten-free was! But as the years have gone by, various companies have stepped up to the plate when it comes to gluten-free food-making, and at the top of the class is Van’s Natural Foods.

Van’s is one of my favorite gluten-free food companies, so when they contacted me to see if I would review their Say Cheese! Snack Packs, I was thrilled to do so! Let’s check them out:

As you can see, they come in bags, packaged five to a box, so they’re perfect for school lunches or work lunches! Each packet is filled with REAL ingredients (nothing artificial) like oats, brown rice, millet, quinoa and amaranth. You can literally SEE how much goodness is crammed into each of these whole grain baked crackers!

Now, I must say this: sometimes, with gluten-free food items, they have a distinctly…UGH…taste. Or perhaps an aftertaste, or they may taste like the same gluten-free thing you last tried. But not these babies! In fact, my husband requested THESE for a snack instead of his normal potato chips! Now, that’s saying something! It’s no wonder that, at 140 calories per bag and 16 grams of whole grains per serving – the Say Cheese! Snack Packs were named one of All You Snack Stars Award winners from among 127 contenders! But when you have a product that’s gluten-free, cholesterol-free, trans fat-free, corn free and free of artificial colors and flavors, anyone can tell the difference!

Well, because Van’s is just that cool, they want to SHARE their yummy products with you! Today, they are proud to offer three vouchers for FREE Van’s snacks, valid for any crackers, snack bars, chips, and/or cereal to all of you readers here at The Road to Domestication! Each voucher is worth $4.49, and Van’s Natural Foods products can be found at your local Target, Kroger, Whole Foods, and other grocery stores! Fantastic!

  1. So perfect for my girls, I will look for them! They are both college girls that need “safe” snacks with them. Great review!

  2. These look so good. I’m working on a healthier diet and though I’m not actively going gluten free, I understand just how overdosed on gluten most products are so I like to look for options like this. Cheese crackers is one of my favorite things.

  3. I am going to try these for sure 🙂 I love cheese crackers, but most of the others out there are full of carbs and no nutrition at all– these seem like a much better option. Thanks!

  4. Being gluten free is definitely very hard! Options are limited, expensive and some brands not as “good and tasty” as others! Will have to look into this brand more, this is the first time I have heard of them

  5. The Cheese Crackers look so yummy and super healthy, I love the ingredients oats, brown rice, millet, quinoa and amaranth! I’d feel good about eating that. I’d love to try them.

  6. I’ve never seen these around but then again I don’t actually check out the gluten free products. They do sound delicious though and I may have to actually look out for them.

  7. This do sound yummy! I cant imagine how hard it was for you at first to get all the food you needed, glad it changed. For some things I go gluten free, just because it is yummy and even healthier then regular.

  8. I’ve had these before and love them. As good as goldfish crackers but without all the funny looks I get when eating them!

  9. These look delicious in the picture. I know so many people are eating gluten free these days too. Seems like it would be a good thing to give them a try.

  10. I keep seeing their foods in the store and wondered if they were any good. Some healthier food it is hard to tell. I will give these a try next time I go, it would be nice to have a healthier snack for the kids.

  11. Oh doggie, I’m going to have to try these out! I loved the last ones you recommended. My cousin-in-law has Celiac’s disease, but it’s so sad to watch her do everything but take care of herself. I keep trying to tell her there’s so much out there to help her. She takes this ridiculously expensive medicine that causes her horrible side effects, and then on top of it because she doesn’t try to change her diet at all she has to stay very close to a toilet all of the time. It’s miserable seeing her so miserable. I can’t do much. No one else in the family really knows much about it and doesn’t realize that a diet change would have a huge effect on her. They just think I’m a nut bag. Anyway, I’d love to know if there was someone or something that I could show her/give her that would point her in a direction of well-being. If she won’t listen to me, maybe she’ll listen to someone else? Do you know of any great resources that would be pretty simple and straightforward?

    • Oh wow. Diet change is key – she’ll eliminate so many of the side affects by just changing her diet…she’ll be amazed at how much better she feels! She should definitely check out, it’s a great resource! And she’s welcome to contact me if she feels she needs to talk to someone, as well!

  12. Those look really good. I love anything cheese flavored. I couldn’t find the rafflecopter, lol. Am I having *a moment*?

  13. I love a give away, contest, and vouchers.. coupons.. oh yes!!! But I actually think I’ll pick these up at Target because your review sounds like they’re a great snack to have around.. Calorie count and ingredients all look favorable and heck, I just love anything ‘cheese’ 🙂
