The St. Patrick’s Day Holiday Shelf!

Yes, yes, we decorate for St. Patrick’s Day at our house. The main reason being: St. Patrick’s Day is also my hubby’s birthday! And last year it was so close to Easter that it was pretty hard to decorate for! (I think I was only able to leave it up for about a week or so! But, if you want to see last year’s short-lived St. Patrick’s Day Holiday Shelf, CLICK HERE!)

I’m thankful that there was much more time between holidays this year, but I went simple anyways! Here we go…

And I always put a lil’ something on the inside of the door, too!

I got these little faux plants at a local craft store here called SOHO…

…and I wanted to incorporate the Celtic Cross in, as well!

The next little piece I just threw in there…

…and this lil’ bottle? It was actually my inspiration for the entire shelf this time around, believe it or not!

I’ve been trying out new garlands to use for these shelf-decor projects, so this one is ribbon with felt clovers attached!

And there you have it! The 2014 St. Patrick’s Day Holiday Shelf!

Whatcha think? Do you decorate for St. Patrick’s Day, or do anything special for the holiday?

  1. This is so cute!!! I don’t decorate for St. P’s day. In fact, my daughter just asked me what it was…..sounds like a unit study coming up. ha! Great pictures!

  2. Love it! I think I do have a few St. Patrick’s Day decoration stored away somewhere but I don’t have enough energy to get them out this year (being 37 1/2 weeks pregnant). πŸ˜‰ Maybe next year. =)

  3. What a beautiful display! I hope that we actually get to go out this year for St. Patrick’s Day. It’s such a big day in our town – they actually have a parade πŸ™‚

  4. I enjoy your holiday shelf. I know you and your husband always enjoy it as well. We skip right on over this one but looking forward big time to the next one!

  5. HAHA.. of course you decorated for Saint Patrick’s Day! You are one of the most festive people I know.. next to my mom! (who, by the way mailed me my favorite Irish Bread!/grandmother’s recipe) <3 . I have already made one Green and White scarf and am working on a fun fur green scarf now for the day. I also couldn't help myself and bought green tissue paper to make tissue paper green carnations for the day at work! No decorations at home, but I'm Irish.. I am the decoration! Love your shelf… all of it.. . always!

  6. You’ve got a nice collection of St. Patrick’s Day knick knacks! I like the Celtic cross and that Shamrock extract is a cute glass bottle. It’s always fun to see your shelf decorated. #HomeMattersParty
