I. LOVE. FALL.
I always have, ever since I can remember. And I still love it this year, too. But for some reason, this year I had a really hard time decorating for the Fall season like I normally do! Maybe it’s that we’re in a new house, and I have to revamp where I’m putting everything. Maybe it’s because I have two toddling helpers who follow me everywhere I go. Maybe it’s because it’s still so dadgum HOT outside. I’m not sure.
But I finally got my Holiday Shelf done!!! Woot woot! So here it is!
Can you tell I had trouble with it?! HA!
It’s a little bit different than normal…somehow. I still feel like it is. But I really wanted to use these sweet little deer because we kind of live in the country now, and I thought they were a neat reflection of that.
I’m also feeling pretty thankful these days. The middle of 2017 had quite a few bumps in it that we did not anticipate. I’m thankful we’re through the rough spots, and I’m ever-so-thankful for my family, and for the opportunity I have to be at home with my babies right now. So I wanted to make that central.
Of course, I had to throw in some gourds and candles, because…hi, nice to meet you, I’m Kristen!
As always I’m using battery-operated candles so I can “light” them at any time and not worry about burning down the house.
And there you have it! The 2016 Fall Holiday Shelf!
Do you decorate for Fall at your house? I’ll be sharing more Fall around my home later this week and into next week! Stay tuned!
Due to the amount of comments from all of my wonderful readers, it is not always possible for me to respond to each one. However, I absolutely do read them all, and if you’d like to address something specific, or have a question for me, please don’t hesitate to email me at Kristen@theroadtodomestication.com. I will respond to your email as soon as possible! Thank you for visiting the blog!
Charming shelf- and clever to have one space that changes with the seasons. I love the idea.
I love how you decorate your shelf for every occasion! I am seriously looking forward to what this shelf will look like for Christmas. 🙂
This is really neat. I don’t normally decorate in the Fall I usually wait until Christmas. Although I love Fall, it’s my favorite season, I get excited to wear sweaters.
That shelf looks so stunning. I really like the simplicity of it. So beautiful. And the pumpkin is so cute.
Great idea. I tend to change a little bit off everything. But I’m so in love with that shelf.
I like having a manageable area like this shelf to decorate for seasons/holidays. Your Fall shelf decorations are fun! Thanks for sharing them with us at this week’s #HomeMattersParty
LOVE that sign… it says it all, “A Season of Thanks.” Your shelf turned out beautiful. And, I am so thankful to have you back hosting Home Matters with me, my friend! I’m glad you shared this at the #HomeMattersParty 🙂
