Breakfast – A Better Way to Start Your Day + HM #200

One of my favorite things to do for breakfast is a Breakfast Casserole. If it’s made big enough, all you have to do is warm up your breakfast for days on end! I LOVE the convenience of it! So I figured I’d share some of that convenience with all of you today!

National Hot Breakfast Month – with Van’s!

We’ve heard it over and over again. “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.”

I’ve actually found that to be true for me, just because I tend to have low blood sugar issues – so you can find me eating breakfast almost any day of the week! I can definitely tell a difference in my energy level throughout the day if I don’t.

So when Van’s reached out and reminded me that February is National Hot Breakfast Month, I thought it was a great thing to draw some attention to…especially since I discovered that 31 millions Americans alone skip breakfast every morning! 31 MILLION! That’s just crazy!!!

Now, you’ve known me to talk about Van’s before – specifically their waffles. I ADORE Van’s waffles, probably because it was the first gluten-free item my mom found for me when I was a college freshman and I had just been diagnosed with Celiac Disease. You have no idea how much hope those Van’s waffles gave me! And they’re still one of my favorite breakfast foods to this day!

Plus, with 25 varieties of waffles offered by Van’s, all of them made from fresh wholesome ingredients, how can you go wrong? Van’s fiber- and whole-grain-rich Gluten Free Ancient Grains Waffles are made from a mix of nutritious whole grains including brown rice, millet, teff, buckwheat, amaranth, sorghum and quinoa. Gluten Free Ancient Grains Waffles have 32 grams of whole grains – and 6 grams of fiber – per serving. Egg- and dairy-free, this waffle is a deliciously nutritious way to start the day!

Light Breakfast or Brunch Quiche…from Wholly Wholesome!

Good morning, everyone!

If you’re a regular reader here on the blog and you’re local to Central Florida, tune your television to ABC Action News right now, and you might just catch a glimpse of me! (I’ll post the link to the interview when I get it!) If you’ve already seen the spot and you’re visiting to get the recipe I shared on air, welcome! Feel free to poke around the blog – lots of interesting things happen here each week!

Did you know that the month of August is actually National Breakfast Month? It sure is! Of course, right when school starts back – there’s so much going on and so much to prepare the family for, folks tend to think there’s just no time left for a healthy breakfast. In reality, that couldn’t be further from the truth! And when there’s scientific research proving that eating a healthy breakfast can make you more productive than those who don’t, why not become a breakfast-eater?

That’s where Wholly Wholesome comes in! Wholly Wholesome’s products are Kosher and made without artificial flavors, preservatives, additives, hydrogenated fat, oils or trans fatty acids or conventionally refined sugars. They also have Organic, Vegan and wholly gluten free products – literally setting consumers up to prepare healthy meals – like this one for a Light Breakfast or Brunch Quiche!

On Planning the Night Before

I’ve never been a morning person. Not even a little bit. I’ve always been a night owl, and if it was a busy week, I would always opt for staying up late to get things done rather than getting up early to accomplish the same. But the more I did that, the more I realized that pre-planning the night before really makes for a smoother tomorrow!

On Planning the Night Before

So, here’s what I do the night before…the night before any particular day, really!
