Proven on Pinterest

Are you on Pinterest? Granted, if you’re brand new to the site, it definitely can be a bit overwhelming – but stick with it! I’ve found it to be a wonderful resource!

That is, until one of your “Pinterest Projects” fails miserably.

No, these photos aren’t mine personally, but I can definitely relate! Has anything like this ever happened in YOUR kitchen? Yeah. I’ve been there, trust me. If you want to feel better about having been there yourself, check out the slideshow I found: Pinterest Food Fails: 23 Shining Examples. You’ll feel MUCH better about things, I promise. You’re welcome.

On the flip side, there are things I’ve tried on Pinterest that have actually turned out very well for me, and all those involved! So I wanted to share a few of them with you today. They’re on my board “Tested & Proven”, if you want to see the whole lot of them, but for now, we’ll do three of my favorite successes.

1. Red Velvet White Chocolate Chunk Cookies

I first made these Christmas of 2011, and they were a HUGE hit! I continued the tradition Christmas of 2012, and as far as I’m concerned, these will be a holiday staple at our house! (They would be great for Valentine’s Day, too!) Or maybe even July 4th? The recipe is VERY simple, the ingredients are easy to obtain, and it’s no problem to double or even triple the batch. Fantastic. Here’s the link to the actual recipe: Red Velvet White Chocolate Chunk Cookies. (The Pin on Pinterest actually came from HERE.)  And here’s how mine turned out.

2. Pin-Up Pictures

We did this for our Wedding Celebration along the buffet line, so people would have pics to look at while they waited! We got married in a private ceremony with only 23 people in attendance, left for our week-long honeymoon in Aruba the next day, and had a party for all of our friends and family when we returned, so you can see why they would all want to see pictures! We hung engagement, wedding and honeymoon pics for everyone to view. Here’s the link to the actual idea: MyWedding/DelightfullyEngaged. Here’s how mine turned out (photo courtesy of my wonderful friend Yamaly at Yamaly Photography!)

3. New Feet in Town

Really cute pose for mom and dad and new baby! The original image was taken by Marianne Taylor Photography, and the original link for the picture can be found HERE. Seemed like a fairly simple idea – here’s mine!

I left it in color because I love how the red, black and white look!

So take heart! And go for a Pinterest project again! You can do it!!!

What have been your favorite Pinterest Projects so far?
