The big game is fast-approaching, y’all! Do YOU have your Super Bowl plans in place?! Never mind your PLANS…what about your SNACKS?! Pork rind, anyone?
Let me let you in on a fun little tidbit: Super Bowl Sunday is also Pork Rind Appreciation Day! And in order to celebrate, Rudolph Foods sent me a few bags of their fantastic pork rinds – their Original flavor, their Bold & Spicy flavor, and also their Bold & Spicy BBQ flavor. Pork rinds for days, y’all!
Just like they did last year for Pork Rind Appreciation Day, matched with charitable support, Rudolph Foods will again support the Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund, Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides medical and financial assistance to former National Football League (NFL) players in dire need. In response, Rudolph Foods is teaming up with Hall of Famer Bobby Bell to raise money and awareness to support the Gridiron Greats through the annual Pork Rind Appreciation Day campaign!
That means between now and the big game, a portion of each purchase of all Rudolph Foods branded products, including Rudolph’s, Southern Recipe, Pepe’s Snacks and Lee’s Pig Skins, will support the organization’s assistance fund. YOU will also have a chance to play Sack the Quarterback, with NFL Hall of Famer Bobby Bell for a chance to win $3,500 and a year’s supply of pork rinds. Come on, how awesome would that be?! (CLICK HERE to play!)
At any rate, when I’m done playing Sack the Quarterback and I’m waiting on the Super Bowl to start, I still have my pork rinds! Did I mention that they’re gluten-free, too?! And, although Rudolph’s Pork Rinds can be eaten by themselves (they’re THAT good) I like to add a little bit of fun to mine.
I chose some French Onion Dip for the Original flavor, some Babybel Cheese for the Bold & Spicy BBQ flavor, and some Queso for the Bold & Spicy flavor. YUM!
On a side note, paper bags (or SACKS – see what I did there?!) are fantastic to use for holding pork rinds! And chips, and trail mix, and a variety of other things! And if you have guests at your Super Bowl gathering, they can each have a bag or two for their snacks! Super cost-effective, too.
Aren’t you hungry for pork rinds now?! And ready for the Super Bowl!
What’s your favorite go-to game day snack? Do tell!

I am not sure if I ever tried these….What a great way to support the former NFL communities. I like that everyone has so many different ideas for game day snacks.
My husband loves pork rinds. My favorite game day snack is my Jalapeno Popper Dip. It would pair perfectly with pork rinds. 🙂
We are a nachos household! Never fails if there is football on there is going to be nachos. I haven’t had pork rind is a really long time, I may have to try them again!
I want to like pork rinds. I really do. But I have not yet found any that I like. I may try this brand.
I didn’t even know they still made pork rinds lol or the last time I had them. I do think it’s awesome that they make a donation. Thanks for sharing.
Love Super Bowl snacks!! It’s my favorite part of the game.
I cannot bring myself to eat these. Just can’t. Feel free to eat my share.
Looks like the perfect snack for game night with some beer. I don’t eat a lot of chips anymore but it looks yummy!
I just love pork rinds, but this is bad for me. I can only look, sigh.
I was never a fan of pork rinds, but my husband loves them. I bet he even knew it was pork rind appreciation day!
I’m not a huge pork rind person, but my brother loves them. He would drool for these flavors!
Pork rinds are one of my husbands faves. We don’t do anything for game days, but this could be fun to do for him for movie nights or just to munch on.
*droool* I love pork rind but started a healthy eating plan recently. So my game snacks would be berries and light yogurt, fruit and nut mix and veggie sticks and dips. Suddenly feeling hungry!
We are all for cheesy baked nachos here! I have never tried anything like this. Have a great night! Kaz 🙂
I am into pork rinds, but I had no idea there were so many different flavors.
I had NO idea that SuperBowl Sunday was pork rind appreciation day! I can’t remember the last time I had them actually! It’s a little sad this year that my Seahawks aren’t in it again, but I’m sure I’ll still watch a bit.
What a timely date to celebrate Pork Rind Appreciation Day! I have never in my life tried Pork rinds (I know, unbelievable, right?) Maybe this year I’ll have to have my game day with a side of pork rinds!
