Over the Weekend

How on earth is it Monday already? I guess time really does fly. And not just when you’re having fun, right? Although this weekend was pretty fun on this end!

Accomplished on Friday:

Accomplished on Saturday:

  • General house straightening
  • Cooked a big lunch for company
  • Took a nap (I normally don’t take on on Saturdays, but since I was up at the same time I normally am during the week…I snuck one in!)
  • Did a photo shoot of a sweet sweet 4-month-old baby boy!
  • Laundry

Accomplished on Sunday:

  • Sunday School, choir and church. I also got pulled to run projection in the middle of the service (surprise!)
  • Took a nap (now THAT’S a normal Sunday tradition!)
  • Back to church for a special service
  • More laundry (I can’t even imagine when we have kids – the laundry right now is a little ridiculous)

I have been pinning TONS of Fall stuff on my “Fabulous Fall” board on Pinterest since LAST Fall, ha! So I decided that this year, I’m actually going to try some of the pins I’ve been pinning. And while cooking lunch on Saturday I tried out a new recipe for Pumpkin Cheese Spice Bread. So THAT will be on the blog tomorrow! YUM!

How was YOUR weekend? Any fun Fall traditions or activities for you?

  1. Hi Kristen,

Nice post! My weekends are as busy as other days, For most people, Mondays are lazy days. Here in Mumbai, on Mondays you can see trains and buses more tightly packed with people and more crowds on the platforms.

For me, days don’t matter much, they are all the same. And I actually love to work on all days. When I used to work as a call center engineer, I used to work all seven days and never took an off. And I liked it this way. Same goes true for working from home or freelancing.

When someone fails in something, one could say: “Everyday is not a Sunday”. Sunday is given a special importance, but what is it? It’s a day like all other days. We made it important by making it a holiday and by having fun on that day. For me, everyday is fun if I do what I like to. I think this is the way it should be. What do you say?

  2. As usual your weekends are always so busy. I literally lounged around this entire weekend. I’m home all week since I took a week off from work but I’m still going to be pretty busy. Hope you week isn’t like your weekend. πŸ™‚

  3. I really don’t remember what a nap feels like πŸ™ Besides church, those naps probably would have been the best part of my weekend! Lol!

  4. I wish I was your company and had had that big lunch you cooked! I’m glad you snuck in two naps. Dang it this weekend went by too fast! I had a list of things I wanted to get done, but instead helped my husband do all his projects. Oh well.. I can’t wait for tomorrow’s post, I’m drooling already!

  5. My weekend was busy with church, etc. but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I also made my first burlap wreath Friday night and it turned out great! I need to go through my pinned fall recipes and try some, too. You’ve inspired me to go through them!
