Well, here it is, Monday again! Hope everyone is enjoying the fresh new week so far! Here’s what I was up to over the weekend!
Accomplished on Friday:
- Grocery shopping for the week
Accomplished on Saturday:
- Picked the hubby’s car up from the shop (one of those things where we went back and forth about 5 times before they finally figured it out and FIXED it! I’m SO THRILLED that it’s FIXED!!!)
- Touched up the house-cleaning that had been done on Thursday evening
- Cooked dinner for 8 (Caesar Salad, Lasagna, Garlic Bread, Peach Cobbler and Vanilla ice cream) for us and our dear friends and their babies, and had a lovely time with them!
Accomplished on Sunday:
- Sunday School, choir and church
- Errand-running
- Fun family photo shoot! (I LOVE to photograph big, loud families – those are my favorite kinds of shoots, and this one was no exception!)
- Took a nap
- Laundry
It’s been raining a bit less, thank goodness! I am thankful for rain, but going home to it every day for weeks really puts a damper (HA! No pun intended) on outdoor projects that I’d like to work on. Ones that involve spray paint. You know I LOVE a good spray-painting project, and I haven’t been able to do one in far too long because of all this rain! So hopefully some new treasures to show all of you soon!
So this past weekend wasn’t too much of a doozy! What did YOU do over the weekend? Do share!
You had quite a busy weekend 🙂 Have a great week!
And you as well! 🙂
I’ve been putting off a spray painting project but it’s not because of rain! Haha! I hope the rain stops for your soon so you can post some new projects! Thanks for sharing!

I was able to finish it last night! Wohoo!!! 🙂
Yay for productivity! I hit the grocery store, did a mountain of laundry and managed to take a nap!
Oh, the nap is the best part LOL
I did a little de-cluttering, dinner, Karaoke and and a really bad DVD movie with Luke, Rory played “Messy Twister” at youth group (which involved lining the back seat of my suburban with plastic trash bags to get her home afterwards), and a little bit of gardening. Nothing major…just tried to relax and rejuvenate. Glad you had a nice dinner with friends! 🙂

HA! Messy Twister, that’s a new one! HA! (I try not to associate with the word “messy” at all LOL)
I’m with you…but she had a great time! Luckily my truck survived too. 🙂
I hear you with the rain. We have had so much rain this year too. The good thing, I do not have to water my salad :). We went to a fun BBQ dinner on Saturday, and it did not rain!
That’s true, Anna, our yard is so beautiful from all the rain! Glad you got to enjoy a rain-free BBQ!
So happy that you got the car fixed. Yay! You had such a busy weekend. Lets hope the week is better. 🙂
Thanks!
Absolutely nothing….which I feel terrible. But my kids enjoyed my company of watching T.V. and sitting with them. Of course I fed them, so I guess you can say I cooked. 🙂
Oh, then that’s not nothing, for sure! Bonding time and cooking for them definitely count as bonus points! 🙂
My weekend was pretty bland. Kinda stayed in and pigged out all day.

That doesn’t sound like you! Sometimes we need those “nothing” days, though!
Another busy weekend girl! We need some rain out here, we’ve got lots of forest fires, you can’t even see the sky right now. It smells like a big campground.
If I could I would send you lake-fulls! We have lots to share!!!
