**PLEASE NOTE: While Family Finest DID provide me with these products to review at no cost, I was not in any way paid for my review. The following opinion is hereby my own.**
You all know that I enjoy trying new products and giving reviews! But when I was given today’s product to review, I was a little…stuck. For lack of a better word. I had no doubt that it would be a great product…I just wasn’t sure that I was the right person to test it for review. I needed some more…honest…reviews. And who’s better at being honest than KIDS, right? Of course, we have no kids at our house, and even though my husband promised he could give an impartial review, I still wasn’t quite sure. So…I had to borrow some guest reviewers. Are you ready?
Meet: the Woodchips*
From left to right: W3 (age 4), W2 (age 5), W4 (age 2), and W1 (age 9)*, all siblings! W2-W4 I have know since they were born, and I actually had the privilege of telling W1 and W2 that their mommy was at the hospital having W2 and W3!
So, Mr. & Mrs. Woodchip dropped the W’s off at our house and they headed out for a nice dinner, while we planned a dinner of our own!
This really is the perfect interactive dinner for kids: Make-N-Bake Pizzas and Bake-N-Make Cookies from Family Finest!
Family Finest Take & Bake Pizza holds the ideal standards of quality, convenience and value demanded for a complete line of take and bake products, including pizzas, breadsticks, calzones, flatbread pizzas and the Make-N-Bake Pizza Pak. The family heritage of Family Finest is part of the Champion Foods brand family and roots back to 1959 when Champion Foods’ opened their first pizzeria.
But these days, I have no problem finding the Family Finest products in the refrigerated section of my grocery store – I’m sure you’ll easily be able to find them, as well!
And the kids were beside themselves. Pizza AND cookies? WHAT?!
We decided to start with the pizza, because, of course, dinner before dessert!
The kit came with the dough, sauce, pepperonis and cheese!
First, we added the sauce to the ready-made dough. (OH! Those chubby cheeks and that red hair!)
Big brother is actually learning about cooking right now in his summer homeschool sessions!
Such concentration while putting on the cheese!
Can you tell this one is always moving?! He was pretty focused in on this project!
We ended up with dinner and a movie! (On towels in the living room!)
All agreed that the pizza was awesome, and the telltale sign was that there were no leftovers!
Once we were all full, we decided to follow it up with the cookies!
The pack came with a variety of icing and sprinkles, along with two chocolate chip cookies and two sugar cookies (you can see how big they are!), great for sparking the imagination!
Good thing I had extra chocolate chips to add for those who needed some on their sugar cookies!
I had a few extra decorating items, but the variety of the icing and sprinkles that came in the kit was great, too!
What chocolate on my face?!
All in all, we had a great evening, thanks to Family Finest! I think all of us would give a huge “thumbs up” for these products! They’re definitely perfect for the summertime – lots of family fun just when you have a little extra time with the kiddos! Tasty indeed! And if I can get kids to eat, I count that as a victory LOL
My daughter and her group of friends who always seem to be at my house would also be into making mini pizza. I have to try this.
It’s definitely a fun activity!
Products that lets kids get involved are always great. I like that the kids can be hands on making food that’s their size. Such fun.
Exactly! Teaches responsibility, too!
