Master Bedroom Tour

I’m in the midst of a redecoration of our Master Bedroom. You know the kind: nothing is really “wrong” with anything, but one day I just walked in and was just…tired of it.

We’ve had the same bedroom decor scheme since we got married 4+ years ago. Somehow it just started to feel…dark…to me, for some reason. So I decided to change it up a bit.

Before I did anything, I photographed it – because it’s no fun to redecorate a room if there’s no before-and-after, right?! So check it out…

Welcome to our Master Bedroom!

That’s us on our wedding day! And this is my most favorite photo of us…

I’m a bit of a fan of Willow Tree, if you couldn’t tell!

A certain black kitty and white doggy snooze here…

…and this is the TV that I actually had in my room when I was still living with my parents! The new look will include an updated TV! (Whoops…I shouldn’t have said that, eh? Oh well. There’s more than a TV to look at in the reveal!)

We are BIG fan people…

Just a few reminders…

So, so long to the old…

…and here’s what’s coming:

I can’t wait to share it with you!

  1. Yay! You have places for the furbabies to sleep. I love that you have your couples’ photo on display, too.

  2. There is nothing wrong with what you have. It is all beautiful right now…but I certainly understand the need to change it up every so many years. I am looking forward to what you do with this space.

  3. I know how you feel – when you are ready for a change, it doesn’t matter how nice your existing room may be! I can’t wait to see the reveal!

  4. I am hoping to have time to decorate our bedroom as well – we moved in last November and it is still bare bones. I absolutely love your furniture. I am a huge fan of the natural wood look!

  5. What I love about your space is that it is cozy and comfy. You’ve placed mementos you love and a shared history that is important. Beautiful!

  6. The entire room looks so cute and gorgeous. I like the colors and those beautiful wall hangings. I love the flooring as well. Your wedding day picture stand looks so beautiful too. I think I should think about redecorating my room sometime soon.

  7. its exciting to transform a space. I had to laugh when I saw the TV. We had that exact situation in our room but my aging eyes were having difficulty seeing the tiny screen. Eventually we had to go bigger. Lol

  8. Even though I can’t wait to see what you did with the place, I really love your room the way it was. I love the light wood and the blues and the room looks light and airy.
