I’ve never really focused in on a particular “movement” when it comes to homemaking. I like colorful, no clutter and comfortable. That’s pretty much it!
That kind of goes along with the Feng Shui movement, right? Maybe it’s close? I’ve never tried to categorize it before – I just do what feels cozy and “happy” to us! So when Elliot from The Rug Seller contacted me about this infographic on making your home a happier place with “Hygge”, I was intrigued, to say the least.
Have you heard of Hygge? Check this out!
Looks like I’ve got a bit of work laid out for me if I want a more “Hygge” life! At my house, we could definitely start with more houseplants and less television! How about you?
Due to the amount of comments from all of my wonderful readers, it is not always possible for me to respond to each one. However, I absolutely do read them all, and if you’d like to address something specific, or have a question for me, please don’t hesitate to email me at Kristen@theroadtodomestication.com. I will respond to your email as soon as possible! Thank you for visiting the blog!
Well, I learn something new every day! Hygge has me quite intrigued and will require some more research on my part! Thanks for the great infographic!
Thanks for teaching me something new today. I’ve got the scented candle part down, but I have to work on the simplicity. Definitely something to work on this summer!!
I hadn’t heard of this before, so thank you for introducing the concept! Definitely interesting!
This is a neat concept. It’s totally new to me, thanks for sharing. I would love to do more outdoorsy things. 🙂 And I NEED more me “you” time.
I have never heard of this. Thanks for the great infographic which enlightens me.
I heard about Hygge awhile ago on the news. I am not sure if any one style is right for me. I am all about the eclectic.
I think I’ve got the lounge wear down, but I could definitely use more sleep and the kids less TV.
If I had my way, I would love to have an indoor zen garden. Just a small little area where I can sit and relax, watch the koi fish swim gracefully and listen to the trickle of the water. Ah.. so relaxing! I think the idea of scented candles and the warmth of a fireplace is also a winner in my book.
So glad the pronunciation of that word was included in the infographic lol I was saying this so wrong! Now let me look around my house and see what I can do to make it more hygge!
