Well, folks, today is Day 5, the final day of The Tastiest Thanksgiving Ever series! Have you enjoyed it? I hope you have! It sure has been a lot of fun putting it together!
Here’s your final recap:

To wrap it up, we have the amazing Shirley from Intelligent Domestications and the wonderful Brandi from Finding the Path for Me, here to share two lovely cake recipes that are sure to finish off your meals nicely…and will also make excellent midnight snacks! Are you ready? (Oh, by the way, your eyes are not deceiving you – there are TWO printables for each of these recipes. They’re just THAT GOOD!)
Caramel Cake
Shirley says: “This Caramel cake has been a family favorite for years now. I am required to make it every year at Thanksgiving and anytime during the year when someone starts thinking about it. This is really the incredibly disappearing Caramel Cake!”

Kristen, I hate to see this series end. It has been so nice sharing recipes and getting great ‘new’ recipes from fellow bloggers. They are all so good! I have got to try these Pumpkin Cheesecakes too! Thank you so much for featuring one of my favorite recipes for The Tastiest Thanksgiving Ever 🙂
Hasn’t it been so much fun! No worries, I have a few other ideas up my sleeve 🙂 Thanks again for contributing, Shirley!
Oh these look and sound delicious especially that caramel cake with the icing. I love almost anything caramel but my hubby would beg to differ. He would say the pumpkin cheesecake was the best one. He LOVES cheesecake. I’m going to have to try one or maybe both. Maybe you’ll have another series for Christmas? Let’s hope. 🙂
It’s really a toss-up – there are so many great idea in this series! I MAY have another one for Christmas, I’m not sure yet. I have a Christmas Home Tour Series that I’m already putting together…I don’t want to “series” everyone out LOL
You have hit on one of my Hubs favorite things to eat. Caramel Cake. Kind of sad that he gave up sugar. I was looking at the recipe, and I think I could substitue a sweetner that he can use in place of the sugar. He was using xylitol but we found it isn’t good for you either. I am going to have to think on this…. he would be like a kid in a candy store If I made caramel cake for him.
I’ll bet you can substitute! You should surprise him – he would love it!
Those pumpkin cheesecakes sound AMAZING!! I am a sucker for anything pumpkin, but I would totally scarf down that entire caramel cake, too!
HA! I know, they both look totally amazing!
I love pumpkin cheesecake. I always look forward to it this time of year! It’s my special treat and this gluten free recipe looks divine!!
Thank you for sharing,
Healthy blessings
Awesome pictures here. It’s not even thanksgiving and I’m already looking forward to it. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
Me too, Nate! Thanks for your comment!

whoops, didn’t realize that this ended today. I was going to submit a recipe, but with all this fever, flu, rash, yuck in our house, I didn’t get to. 🙁 We are on the upswing though. Prayers please. Anyway, That caramel cake looks scrumptious! 🙂 I’m getting fat just looking at these recipes.

I’m glad you’ve enjoyed it, Melinda! Thanks for the pins!
Those desserts are a nice change from the usual! They look scrumptious! It is difficult to pick just one, but I think this Thanksgiving I am going with the pumpkin cheesecakes! Thank you for sharing!
Those DO look yummy, right? Hope you enjoy!
These desserts are great ideas! So delicious!
Thanks, Katherine!
These look AMAZING! Who wants to make them for me and bring them over? Anyone???
HA! Does the delayed response tell you anything, Carli?! LOL
I don’t usually go crazy for caramel, but that cake looks amazing! Who eats all this stuff that you make? You must have some VERY happy neighbors…
My husband does LOL If he doesn’t, it goes to family members, work with him (there’s a few thousand people in his office building) or to work with me, or to church. It all gets eaten, I promise!
More wonderful recipes to save & thanks so much for the gluten-free… now I can have something to look forward to 🙂 I’ve enjoyed your series! ~Renee
You know I had to get the gluten-free one in there!
I’m pinning this for my own celebrations! Then I will have it right when I need it! Thanks Kristen! This was great!
