Are you planning a family outing anytime soon? With lockdown restrictions being relaxed across the country, and the holidays upon us, you might want to consider going on a road trip with the kids. After all, they need a change of scenery and a breath of fresh air after staying indoors for a very long period.
Before you go on your first adventure since the lockdowns began, road safety should still be a priority. With health protocols still in place, you need to make sure your travel goals go unhampered by the dangers that lie ahead. Here’s a guide on how you can spend quality time with your family during a road trip in this time of pandemic:
Finalize your destination
Regardless how long the road trip will be, you need to come up with a surefire plan that includes specific destinations and stopovers. This also helps you identify the safest routes to take. More importantly, mapping out the trip involves determining the places with increasing COVID-19 cases that you should avoid. Give yourself at least a few weeks to plan for the trip. This should give you ample time to check with friends or family members living within or around the destination to see if it’s safe. Make sure to review any health protocols you need to be aware of.
Well, like it or not, this lil’ pandemic we’ve gotten ourselves into seems to be sticking around a bit longer than we all thought it would. I’m sure you’re as ready to say goodbye to COVID-19 as I am, but until then, we still need to be smart about how we conduct ourselves, right? Right!
So when Jeffrey from Eco Gloves contacted me and asked if he could send me some of their product, my first thought literally was, “Well, I could use them to pump gas with, at least!” and I agreed to check them out.
Now, come on, folks. We’ve all seen the people who wear their gloves to do everything with, and then touch their face with them. Let’s be clear: I DO happen to know how to use gloves PROPERLY. There. I just wanted to make sure everyone understood that. Let’s proceed.
When my Eco Gloves arrived, I was taken aback for a moment, simply because I couldn’t believe what a small package they came in. I thought I was getting a pack of 100…oh. Look. I DID get a pack of 100. What great a great space-saving product! An entire box of 100 could EASILY fit in my purse, or diaper bag, glove box or console! SO convenient!
There is no doubt that families in America love their pets. While people have a wide range of different animals as pets, dogs have to be one of the most common. In fact, over 60 million American households own a dog. However, deciding that you want a dog is only half of the battle. You then need to decide what kind of dog (which dog breed) to get.
As you skim through this dog breeds list, you will see there are many potential options. You will need to put a lot of thought into this decision. This is because every dog has a different temperament, different needs and thrives in different situations.
If you need some assistance on deciding which breed of dog is the best for your family, you’re in the right place. This article is going to go over a few tips to help you choose the best dog breed for your family.
It’s that time of the year, folks! We are officially in the midst of “the holidays”, and one of the most important things on MY list this time of year is: Christmas cards. Here’s our card from last year:
Not too bad! I ran short on time and had to pound these out at Walgreen’s. They ended up being your basic cheap Christmas cards, but I thought they were cute! (And YES, I did include the crying child. Because she cries a lot and I figured, why not share. HA!)
Normally I like to order my cards online, just so I can get them perfectly customized, and take my time with all of the options…you know how it goes. The only thing with online ordering is, you’re never quite sure exactly what you’re getting, right?
Anyone who’s blitzed through this blog at all knows that I HATE clutter. So much so, in fact, that I actually officially registered the hashtag #ihateclutter. I mean, that’s a pretty strong hatred, folks! Time was invested into that one! But I’ll admit – most of the time my detest of clutter is focused INSIDE our home.
According to my research, spending time outdoors is good for our physical and mental health. One of the easiest ways to get in touch with your inner self is by stepping out into your garden, but a cluttered backyard isn’t always the best spot for relaxing. Let’s go over some of the ways that you can keep your yard clean, organized, and free of clutter so that you and your family can make the most of your outdoor space.
Keep the Lawn Trimmed
It’s no secret that lawn maintenance is one of the main keys to keeping a tidy home and yard. If you mow at least once every one to two weeks, you can keep your lawn looking its best. (And if you’re in Florida like we are and the rainy season is upon us, you’ll soon be needing to mow every few days!) Mowing and trimming regularly ensures that you get rid of unhealthy growth, encouraging fresh, green growth throughout your grass. As an added bonus, old trimmings can make a great fertilizer for future shoots in the garden!
