Van’s Natural Foods Review and GIVEAWAY!

**PLEASE NOTE: While Van’s Natural Foods DID provide me with these products to test at no cost, I was not in any way paid for my review. The following opinion is hereby my own.**

Every time the folks at Van’s contact me to do a review of their newest offerings, I get excited! I absolutely adore Van’s! And there’s a reason for this: quality. I’ve tried TONS of gluten-free products since I was diagnosed with Celiac’s Disease in 2001, and Van’s by far are the best of the best. They have made my life SO much easier, so I always take the chance to share their products with YOU, too!

Take a look at what they sent me this month:

From left to right: Multigrain Chips, PB&J Sandwich Bars, Gluten-Free Blueberry Waffles, Crispy Whole Grain Baked Crackers…and the fabulous burlap bag it all came in! (You guys KNOW how I LOVE burlap!)

Multigrain Chips: These are available in Nacho, Nacho, Man! and Mighty Good BBQ! They are loaded with 18 grams of whole grains, but what they’re NOT loaded with is high-fructose corn syrup, artificial ingredients, hydrogenated oils or GMO oils – none of those nasties at all! You can see that they sent me the Mighty Good BBQ flavor, and let me tell you what…YUM. They are SO crispy! And the flavor of BBQ is perfect! Can we say that these did not last long at my house?! (My hubby is a fan of anything BBQ, and I just loved how crispy and flavorful they were!)

PB&J Sandwhich Bars: A delicious blend of real peanut butter and fruit jelly sandwiched between two 10-grams-of-whole-grain gluten-free bars. I mean, who doesn’t love peanut butter and jelly? And especially for the little ones who struggle with a limited diet, these can be lifesavers! (On a side note, I haven’t had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for YEARS now, and one bite of these…wow. It took me back!) I also appreciated that they were not messy at all – they’re the perfect diaper bag or purse carry-along!

Gluten-Free Blueberry Waffles: These have been a staple for me for a long time now. I think this was the first product I’ve ever tried from Van’s, actually! The thing I love about these waffles is that they don’t fall apart! And you know what? They TASTE like a waffle, not like cardboard! I normally heat mine up and add a smear of light cream cheese and, voila! SO delish! Van’s also offers 17 other varieties of waffles, including five additional gluten-free flavors, two flavors of mini waffles, two varieties of Belgian waffles, three offerings of whole grain waffles, three offerings of organic waffles, as well as a Power Grain Waffle and a Love Your Heart Waffle! You can’t go wrong!

Crispy Whole Grain Baked Crackers: Van’s sent me the Fire-Roasted Veggie flavor to test this time, and I found it absolutely delicious!

I love how you can SEE the ingredients! No hiding those 16 grams of whole grains and all that brown rice, oats, millet, quinoa and amaranth! They’re great for dipping, too, and they’re free of artificial colors, flavors and preservatives – you can’t beat ’em!

    • They really did take me back LOL (Funny you and I should both blog about gluten-free stuff today, Robin! Great minds think alike!)

  1. I used to be able to find their products all over back home and loved them. I have yet to find stores in our new area that have their products. Hopefully I will find them soon or win a few items and maybe get them shipped to me!

    • Oh, a lovely comment from my long-lost friend Lorelai! Glad to see you 🙂 And YES, the BBQ chips are SO good!

  2. I gotta try those BBQ chips! I’ve tried several of their crackers and snacks after seeing your reviews. I haven’t seen these chips, but I will hunt them down if necessary!

  3. I’ve never had any of their products before but I’d be willing to give them a try. I’ve always been under the impression that gluten free food didn’t taste too good but guess I was wrong since I recently found out some of the things I like to eat are actually gluten free. 🙂

  4. I would love to try all of these products. The crackers would probably be my favorite but the PB & Jelly looks like it would be a great quick snack when you are in a hurry.

  5. My daughter was diagnosed with celiac two years ago. She loves Van’s foods, and always keeps some of their crackers around to snack on!

  6. I am happy to report that I did score a box of the Blueberry Waffles but haven’t had a chance to try them yet. I’m working on going Gluten Free but I’m currently more like Gluten Reduced! lol – but true It does seem like I can feel the difference between a Gluten Free day or not though so that makes it a big incentive. Thanks for the suggestions.

    • Oh my goodness, Elayna! That sounds terrible, I’m glad you found something to help you!

  7. I’m glad that you enjoyed the products. I don’t eat gluten either, and the ones in my family who do eat the ancient and heirloom wheat. Nicely done review!
