Less than 7 months until Christmas, y’all.
I’m sorry – I couldn’t resist.
Can you believe that today is JUNE 1?! (It’s also the beginning of hurricane season, which is a big deal for us in Florida. And since the painters literally finished painting the outside of our house on Friday, I’m not sure whether we’re totally smart – since everything is nicely sealed now – or totally gonna have an insurance claim on our hands – and have to pay for new paint all over again! I guess we’ll find out…)
Anyway…today is the day we find out the top five posts here on the blog for the month of May! Let’s see…
Did you know that May is Women’s Health Month? It’s kind of fitting, since I have Celiac’s Disease (which I will be talking about next week because it’s also Celiac Disease Awareness Month) and I try to be health-conscious due to that. May apparently is a fantastic month for health and awareness all the way around!
Not only do I have the Celiac’s Disease, but I was also diagnosed with Hypothyroidism last year. Both of those conditions are autoimmune disorders, which means that my immune system attacks itself when I get sick, instead of attacking all the bad germs.
As you can imagine, these two issues have taught me to be very careful when being around others who are sick, and to be able to recognize my triggers. And my top triggers? Stress and bad diet! So I’m constantly trying to simplify and make sure I eat gluten-free, in order to maintain good health.
82 days until Christmas. Can you believe that?! At any rate, here we are at the beginning of a brand new month, which means it’s time to look back at the previous month! So here are the top five posts for the month of September!
1. The Stages of a Woman – This was seriously one of my favorite posts EVER, so I’m so glad it was a big hit with everyone else, too! If you missed this one, PLEASE READ IT!
FYI, this post has been a long time coming! It may not be the most popular subject, but I think it’s one that each of us, as women, need to take note of. (Yes, I’m aiming this mainly towards women…so my apologies to any men who may be reading this…honestly, guys, I don’t think you need to worry about this one much. But feel free to read on!)
It starts when we’re babies. When a female child is born, everyone goes all a flutter with pinks and purples, ribbons and boas, fluffy bows and patent leather shoes…it’s a girl, and we’re gonna make sure EVERYONE knows it!!!
That’s all well and good – I have no doubt that when I have a child I’ll be maxed out on the accessory side, one way or another. I get it. It’s fun, it’s cute, and we want the best for our little ones. Nothing wrong with that, right? Continue reading
I had something totally different planned for the blog today…but, to be quite honest, I’m feeling a little overwhelmed, so I thought I’d talk about that a bit.
I can not do it all. I’ve always KNOWN that, I just never really wanted to admit it. But I’m ready to now! Oh, I’m there!
And what really gets me when I’m there is that people I know (moms with kids) are always telling me, “Wait until you have kids. You don’t know what busy is until you have children.” This only makes me feel like…
