Well, are you back to school yet? About half of us around here went back to school earlier this week, and the rest will hit the books bright and early Monday morning! Woot woot! And along those lines, I am SO excited to partner with Van’s to celebrate modern moms and help make their lives a little easier, just in time for back-to-school!
And what is one of the most important keys to a successful back to school routine? Breakfast!
But breakfast doesn’t have to be stressful. Quick, wholesome options like Van’s waffles offer protein and whole grains that are so delicious moms feel great about serving them and kids love eating them!

Van’s conducted a survey of 1,000 moms and asked them to describe their mornings.
Y’all. We are HALF-WAY THROUGH 2016. Can you even believe that?! I’m already seeing people count-down until Christmas. Please. I just cannot. Stop the madness.
In the spirit of ignoring how quickly we are moving through the year, how about a look at what you all named the top 5 posts here on the blog in the month of May? Sounds like a plan!
It’s no secret to anyone who follows this blog that I have Celiac Disease. And, if you’ve been around long enough, you know that Van’s is one of my favorite brands of gluten-free foods! They really were a lifesaver for me when I was first diagnosed – and they’re still extremely helpful…most recently in the throes of morning sickness!
So the fact that May is Celiac Awareness Month makes it the perfect time to share food options for those with gluten sensitivity! And that’s exactly what Van’s is doing, offering an opportunity to try its NEW gluten-free granola and snack bars, and get in on a giveaway event valued at more than $150!
Van’s, a leader in wholesome new snacks sure to satisfy the kid in everyone, kicks off summer with two new snack bars (Banana Bread and Gramwich- a chocolate stuffed graham cracker sandwich) and Soft-Baked Whole Grain Granola Clusters in Double Chocolate and Banana Nut.

We’ve heard it over and over again. “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.”
I’ve actually found that to be true for me, just because I tend to have low blood sugar issues – so you can find me eating breakfast almost any day of the week! I can definitely tell a difference in my energy level throughout the day if I don’t.
So when Van’s reached out and reminded me that February is National Hot Breakfast Month, I thought it was a great thing to draw some attention to…especially since I discovered that 31 millions Americans alone skip breakfast every morning! 31 MILLION! That’s just crazy!!!
Now, you’ve known me to talk about Van’s before – specifically their waffles. I ADORE Van’s waffles, probably because it was the first gluten-free item my mom found for me when I was a college freshman and I had just been diagnosed with Celiac Disease. You have no idea how much hope those Van’s waffles gave me! And they’re still one of my favorite breakfast foods to this day!
Plus, with 25 varieties of waffles offered by Van’s, all of them made from fresh wholesome ingredients, how can you go wrong? Van’s fiber- and whole-grain-rich Gluten Free Ancient Grains Waffles are made from a mix of nutritious whole grains including brown rice, millet, teff, buckwheat, amaranth, sorghum and quinoa. Gluten Free Ancient Grains Waffles have 32 grams of whole grains – and 6 grams of fiber – per serving. Egg- and dairy-free, this waffle is a deliciously nutritious way to start the day!
Normally I don’t throw a post up here on Thursdays, but this one is extra special, because it’s for my good friends over at Van’s!
Van’s is extra special to me because their waffles were the FIRST ready-made gluten-free product that I ever tried. Those waffles gave me hope in a very confusing time when I was first diagnosed with Celiac Disease, and I will be forever grateful to Van’s! After all, they ARE the leader in frozen, better-for-you waffles! And each of their varieties bring great nutrition, whole grain goodness, non-GMO verified ingredients and gluten-free options to breakfast, lunch and snack time. Even dinner! (Who doesn’t love breakfast for dinner, am I right?!)
With lines that include the popular 8 Whole Grains, Power Grains, Organic and Gluten-Free waffles, Van’s has creative ideas for wholesome breakfasts, lunches, snacks and appetizers perfect for the colder months ahead. Whether it’s a quick, warm, nutritious breakfast, an allergy-friendly stand-in for bread, or a delicious whole-grain dessert, Van’s waffles are popping up in all kinds of recipes that can be shared again and again.
