On Making Your Own Packing Materials

If there’s two things y’all know about me already, it’s that I HATE clutter…and that I LOVE a bargain. This being said, I’m quite the avid viewer of the Yard Sale Sites on Facebook. Have you seen them? If not, do a search on Facebook for a Yard Sale site for your town/city/county. People post anything and everything on these sites! You can get some great deals, and even haggle prices, right on Facebook!

When we bought the house and moved in, all the “stuff” that didn’t have a home was put in this room, awaiting the time when it would find its spot around the house. Well, after a while I found out that it wasn’t meant to have a place in the house. So I started posting and selling it on the Yard Sale sites in my area.

Sometimes this requires mailing items to folks. They offer to pay shipping and handling above the cost of the item, and I pack it up and send it off to them!

So I made my own – with trash bags.

If you blow some air into a trash bag, and then knot it closed, leaving some air inside, it creates a nice little cushion perfect for packing! See?
