Declutter and Downsize

To begin, declutter and downsize. Think about areas in which you have a plethora of STUFF. A closet is a great place to start! Most people have tons of clothing in their closet and never wear it all. You can essentially create an amazing amount of new space in your home by decluttering just one closet. The kitchen is another area where you might have a ton of items that need to be weeded through. Take some time to think about additional areas in your own home that hold the most stuff and focus your attention on those spots!

The 2017 Spring Holiday Shelf!

Here in Florida, we pretty much go straight from Fall into Spring. Not much Winter in these parts. I mean, temps reached 80 degrees yesterday, y’all. And it’s only the beginning of April! So, I pretty much figured it was time for the Spring Holiday Shelf!

When I started this whole “Holiday Shelf” deal, it was because I wanted a certain spot in which to be festive around the house, just because I could! After a little bit it turned into more of a simple kind of celebration. Now, it’s a fun creative outlet! And a lil’ challenge sometimes. Well, it’s almost summertime now! Is your Spring Cleaning complete?

  • Paint – all paints are considered hazardous waste! Make sure you dispose of them properly!
  • Smoke detectors – some of them use radioactive materials to detect smoke! Yikes!

So when Sarah from MAAC (Mesothelioma & Asbestos Awareness Center) contacted me with a great Spring Cleaning infographic that also reminds us to watch out for the dangers that may be involved, I thought it was perfect! See for yourself…
