How Slow Cooker Product Reviews Can Help You with Your Purchase

My slow cooker has been on the fritz these days. And I cannot…I repeat…CANNOT have that happening at this point in my life. I’ve put way too much trust in that particular appliance – I must have it working! But I’ve used the same one for a few years, and so I’ve become rather attached to it. How on earth am I supposed to choose a new one?

How Slow Cooker Product Reviews Can Help You with Your Purchase! #slowcooker #productreviews Click To Tweet

Slow cookers take the stress out of preparing healthy homemade meals. They’re designed to simmer your food at low temperatures over an extended period, with minimal effort on your part. But how do you get a slow cooker that’s perfect for your needs? Simply purchasing the costliest and most sophisticated appliance won’t cut it because price doesn’t automatically predict performance. To get the best value for your money, you may want to check product reviews before making a purchase.

Unbiased Information

Nearly all manufacturers depict their slow cookers to be the best. You can’t trust their words as parameters for evaluating the quality of their products. The best judges for slow cookers are the consumers themselves. Product reviews provide tremendously valuable information about slow cookers that you can’t find elsewhere. They give opinions and in-depth insights into performance, packaging, shipping, and even encounters with the manufacturers’ customer service.

The reviewers talk about the different topics on the products in a way that’s real and unfiltered. Bias is minimal because the information provided is based on personal experiences with slow cookers and there’s no pressure on the reviewers to give a specific response.

New Product Review: Brightech’s SKY LED Torchiere Floor Lamp

I’ve been a night owl for as long as I can remember. But lately, I’m a night owl more out of necessity than preference. When you have two 2-year-olds running around the house all day, you have to stay up far past their bedtime in order to actually get things done!

Thankfully we have a room in our house that functions as a home office, so, no matter the time of night, I always have the perfect spot in which to get some work accomplished. But, when it’s 2 in the morning and I’m still up working…this may sound strange, but I was finding it a little too BRIGHT in my office.

New Product Review: Brightech's SKY LED Torchiere Floor Lamp! #productreview #brightech #lamp Click To Tweet

The main light in the room is attached to the overhead fan, so it’s pretty luminous. And somehow, in the dead of night, I don’t like that bright of a light on to work by. I had JUST told my hubby we needed a lamp for the office, when Becky from Brightech contacted me and asked if I wanted to check out one of their lamps! Perfect timing!

I hadn’t heard of Brightech before, but when I stopped by their website to pick out a lamp, I found it super easy to navigate. I also found a TON  of options for lamps of all colors, shapes and sizes! I knew I wanted something simple, not bulky, and black for our office. That was pretty much all I had to go on, but, since Brightech’s belief is that elevated design should be available to everyone, and not just the folks with big bank accounts and an interior designer on staff…I figured I’d be safe!

In the end, I chose SKY – An LED Torchiere Floor Lamp, in a lovely shade of black.

When the lamp arrived, it did need a bit of assembly, but it was super simple: I was done in about five minutes.

New Product Review: August Smart Lock Pro

We’ve been doing some major extra childproofing around our house. Why, you ask? Well…the girls are now two years old. They are fantastic little teammates who are bright, eager, and extremely curious. And FAST. Have I mentioned that they’re FAST?! Even though we’ve been “childproofed” for a while around here, it seems like they keep finding ways around our best efforts!

One of their new discoveries is how to unlock and open doors. They’re so tickled with themselves when they accomplish this feat, and it IS pretty cute…but we live out in the country on over an acre of land, with woods behind us and a pond just to our east. If the unimaginable happened…gosh. I can’t even think about it.

So we decided that one thing we needed to add in to our childproofed home was a new lock for the front door. Specifically, a new smart lock.

We ended up going with an August Smart Lock Pro

Looks pretty simple, right? As I dug into the box a bit, I was happy to see that it WAS indeed pretty simple. Not a ton of moving parts or long instructions with a million pieces. Everything was simply stated and neatly included in the same box.

New Product Review – Cucina Antica! (Two Recipes Included)

We eat a lot of Italian-themed dishes at our house. They seem to go over pretty well with all four members of our family – which, with 2 20-month-olds, can be pretty hard to accomplish! In fact, I’m convinced that in order to get the girls to eat something, all I have to do is add a marinara sauce to it. Seems to do the trick!

So when Sarah with Cucina Antica contacted me about doing a review of their products, I was ready!

I had never heard of Cucina Antica before Sarah reached out, so I decided to to check into the company a little bit further. In case you’re not familiar with them, they are an authentically Italian company led by Chef Neil Fusco. Their cooking and pasta sauces are made with imported Italian San Marzano tomatoes — and never with artificial preservatives, added sugar, water, or tomato paste. Chef Neil makes the products through an artisanal production method that allows consumers to cook the sauces without losing any flavor. Oh! And they’re gluten-free! (You know I’m sold on THAT!) In addition to those yummy points, because they have a desire to give back, Cucina Antica also works with several organizations to help those in need: Mary’s Meals, Food for the Poor and St. Joseph’s Orphanage. I’ll tell you what, I love to get behind a company who creates a healthy authentic product, but give me one that creates a healthy authentic product AND supports their community, and I’m all about them!

I received a jar of Cucina Antica’s Tomato Basil Cooking Sauce and a jar of their Garlic Marinara Cooking Sauce.

This is my girls’ FAVORITE dish yet – I make it pretty often for them. You should see them gobble up some Baked Ravioli! And, although I’m not sure of their little palettes preferences at this point, I think they were extra excited with this batch because folks, THIS SAUCE IS AMAZING! For me, it was a great way to take something I make regularly and give it an extra special kick!

Are you hungry yet?! (FYI, my other egg is in there – it’s hiding under that yummy sauce on the left, and I didn’t want to dig it out and turn everything…UGLY. HA!)

The combination of eggs and marina was a new one for me, but I have to say, I LOVE IT. The flavors were spot-on, and it’s now a new favorite of my hubby’s too! (And I count that as a WIN in my book!) Although I have to say, for this dish the flavors of the sauce better be spot-on, or it won’t taste the same. I’m so happy with what Cucina Antica “brought to the table” with this combination!

New Product Review – Blissfully Better Chocolate

As far as I’m concerned, there is no BAD time for a piece of chocolate. Wouldn’t you agree?

I don’t, however, indulge very often, because chocolate isn’t all that great for you. Now, I’m not a healthy example for the masses, but I DO try to eat good things, and if I “indulge” in the bad ones, I make sure it doesn’t happen all that often.

But, thankfully, I’ve been introduced to something sweet that doesn’t fit the usual mold! It’s called Blissfully Better Chocolate.
