Well, are you back to school yet? About half of us around here went back to school earlier this week, and the rest will hit the books bright and early Monday morning! Woot woot! And along those lines, I am SO excited to partner with Van’s to celebrate modern moms and help make their lives a little easier, just in time for back-to-school!
And what is one of the most important keys to a successful back to school routine? Breakfast!
But breakfast doesn’t have to be stressful. Quick, wholesome options like Van’s waffles offer protein and whole grains that are so delicious moms feel great about serving them and kids love eating them!
For instance, check out this recipe for Banana & Honey Minis!
Van’s conducted a survey of 1,000 moms and asked them to describe their mornings.
Happy July 1, everyone! Are you ready for the 4th?! We plan on seeing some fireworks and celebrating with family!
In reaching the beginning of a new month, we realize that the previous month is now gone. As always, it went quickly! Let’s see what went over best here on the blog.
I’ve been trying to eat super healthy these days, of course, to make sure the twins are getting the nutrients they need. So far it seems to be working! Hopefully things continue to progress well!
But in all my research about good pregnancy nutrition, I keep seeing points about “super foods”. And some of those points are just a tad bit confusing, I must say. So when Daisy Grace offered to flesh things out for me, and even included some recipes to boot, well – PERFECT!
Check out what she has to share!
Among the top healthy lifestyle tips: eat more super foods. Although it may sound like a hoax, super foods are a real category. Comprised of foods that are loaded with nutrients essential for living a healthy life (but that also lack unfavorable nutrients like saturated fat,) super foods are like all-in-one nutritious powerhouses. They tend to boost your immune system, improve your heart health, and give you energy.
Many super foods are also great to add to a diet for weight loss since these foods have healthful nutrients and do not tend to be fattening or heavy on carbohydrates. You can turn many super foods into great snacks as well, making them convenient.

Y’all. We are HALF-WAY THROUGH 2016. Can you even believe that?! I’m already seeing people count-down until Christmas. Please. I just cannot. Stop the madness.
In the spirit of ignoring how quickly we are moving through the year, how about a look at what you all named the top 5 posts here on the blog in the month of May? Sounds like a plan!
We’re big fans of peanut butter at our house. If it can be peanut butter flavored, we’ve got it! But we also have almond butter and even some pecan butter on hand, as well. I especially love fruit (apples and bananas) along with a bit of nut butter!
But I never really thought too much about the benefits that nuts and butter made from nuts offers! I mean, I knew there was lots of protein and some good fats in there, but that’s about it. So when Kaylee from Ghergich & Co. contacted me about an infographic along these lines, I was intrigued! Check this out…
