So when Holly Stellings contacted me and asked if I was interested in sharing her post on Thanksgiving desserts, I was all about it! And she’s got some great ideas! Read on…

You’ve already got the Thanksgiving entrees and sides planned out, and may have gotten started on the table settings, plus the relatives have all RSVP’d. It seems like you’ve got everything planned down to a “T” when you suddenly realize the dessert menu is lacking—all you have on hand is months-old ice cream hidden somewhere in the freezer. Be sure you don’t slack off when it comes to the delectable desserts on this Thanksgiving holiday, and prep in advance to ensure every detail is perfect for your entertaining purposes. Make your Thanksgiving spread one to remember with some excellent Thanksgiving dessert ideas and brace yourself for the cries for seconds.

Cranberry sauce is the perfect side to a well cooked turkey, but you can incorporate this seasonal favorite into a delicious dessert everyone will enjoy. Mix some delectable cranberries with apples, Bisquick, and a few other choice ingredients to make a treat that will disappear in a jiffy—not a crumb left in sight. The Tastiest Thanksgiving EVER!

Have you made YOUR Thanksgiving menu yet? It IS November, after all!

If you were with me here last year on the blog, you will remember that I took an entire week and did a series called “The Tastiest Thanksgiving EVER!”

A great group of my blogger pals all submitted their favorite Thanksgiving recipe, and there were photos and printables galore! It was fantastic!

So this year, since there are so many new people here along The Road to Domestication (hi there, newbies!), I figured that I’d remind everyone about the series, and give all the links to those posts and recipes in one spot! How about that?! As a matter of fact, I have literally prepared your entire Thanksgiving menu for you, right here! (Well, except for the turkey!)

So let’s get going!

The Quest for the Perfect Pie Crust

Several years back, I made a fresh strawberry pie. The filling and home-made whipped cream were perfect…but the crust was a bust. I’m not even joking. It was awful. And I decided then that perhaps I just wasn’t one of those people who made pies.

Why not use a prepared crust, you ask? That’s just not exactly my style. When I’m baking, I like to bake from scratch. And I was so intimidated by pies I let several years go by without even touching a pie recipe.

That all changed a few weeks before Thanksgiving, when I was assigned “pies”.

I realized that I had a choice. I could go to the freezer section and pick out the most beautiful pies I could find, or I could get over my fear of pie crusts and figure it out and just DO it.

So I posed a question to my Facebook friends about pie crusts, and before I knew it, I had been given this link:

Do you see that recipe for pie crust? The one with only four ingredients?! I couldn’t believe it. So I had to test it myself, of course.
