While I am knee-deep in Thanksgiving prep over here, I’m also looking ahead to Christmas! I’m a huge fan of having a plan and being prepared, and an even bigger fan of using my time wisely. So when I started doing all of our Christmas shopping online a few years ago, I KNEW I had hit on something big!
Here’s my basic game plan: right now is the time when I’m scoping out deals online, looking at catalogs, and checking my emails for any special shopping notices. My list of folks to buy for and things I’d like to purchase for them is slowly being curated, too, because the plan kicks into gear on Cyber Monday!
That’s right, Cyber Monday! I am not a fan of the “Day after Thanksgiving” shopping. I know, I know, please, don’t crucify me. I simply don’t like to get out in the midst of all the crazy and rude people! It’s not fun for me at all. And the LINES. Oh my word, the lines! Nope, not my cup of tea!
Cyber Monday, however is where I shine! It’s called online shopping, folks! Everything gets ordered on that day! Hey, I normally even order wrapping supplies and special baking supplies and Christmas decor items that day, too, and then it all gradually comes straight to our box at the UPS Store. I pick things up and “process” them as time goes on – all without having to get out in the midst of the holiday shopping crowds! I LOVE the plan!
However, no matter how prepared I am, there are always those people on my list to buy for who have everything they could ever want…and they stump me. What on earth shall I get them?!
When I run into this issue, there are three main places I go:
From the home (inside and out!) to games for adults and kids and electronics galore, Brookstone has saved me from many a gifting crisis. I love that they offer quality products for almost everyone on my list – unique things that my recipients love receiving!
