National Hot Breakfast Month – with Van’s!

We’ve heard it over and over again. “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.” 

I’ve actually found that to be true for me, just because I tend to have low blood sugar issues – so you can find me eating breakfast almost any day of the week! I can definitely tell a difference in my energy level throughout the day if I don’t.

Pork Rind Appreciation Day – Can YOU Sack the Quarterback?!

The big game is fast-approaching, y’all! Do YOU have your Super Bowl plans in place?! Never mind your PLANS…what about your SNACKS?! Pork rind, anyone?

Let me let you in on a fun little tidbit: Super Bowl Sunday is also Pork Rind Appreciation Day! And in order to celebrate, Rudolph Foods sent me a few bags of their fantastic pork rinds – their Original flavor, their Bold & Spicy flavor, and also their Bold & Spicy BBQ flavor. Pork rinds for days, y’all!

Just like they did last year for Pork Rind Appreciation Day, matched with charitable support, Rudolph Foods will again support the Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund, Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides medical and financial assistance to former National Football League (NFL) players in dire need. In response, Rudolph Foods is teaming up with Hall of Famer Bobby Bell to raise money and awareness to support the Gridiron Greats through the annual Pork Rind Appreciation Day campaign!

On Trying New Restaurants When You’re Tired of Cooking

If you can believe it, these words came out of my mouth last night: “I’m just SO tired of COOKING!” My hubby sarcastically responded, “I can’t imagine why!” Let’s just say, between Thanksgiving, houseguests, now Christmas baking for gifts and gatherings, and it being my turn to take meals to those in our church who have had surgeries or new babies…mercy! My kitchen has been BUZZING! 

I knew I would have a reprieve over the weekend, as my husband normally likes to eat out at least once. In fact, that’s normally the hardest question we ask of one another: “Where do you want to eat?” “I don’t care…where do YOU want to eat?!” I guess if that’s the hardest part of our week, we’ll survive, right?!

But here lately we’ve been trying out some new places! And one of my favorite resources when finding said eateries is none other than Groupon!

For instance, we discovered The Gourmet Pizza Company over in Tampa a couple of months ago!
