On the Road in January

Well, how did your first month of the new year go? I can’t hardly believe January is over! Ours was…different…than we had planned, but that’s for another post sometime in February. Let’s take a quick peek at the top 5 posts here on the blog for the past month!

February

1. Celebrating Loved Ones All Year Around! – It’s still a good time to be thinking about flowers, since Valentine’s Day is rapidly approaching, but remember that any time of the year is a good time to celebrate your loved ones!

Celebrating Loved Ones All Year Around – with BloomNation!

There’s not much that puts me in a better mood than fresh flowers arriving at my office for no particular reason. Do you ever get flowers just because someone is thinking nice thoughts about you? So special!

(Of course, my hubby ALSO sends flowers if he knows he’s in trouble, but sometimes, he sends them just because he wants to.)

So when I was introduced to flower delivery by BloomNation about sharing their Bloomin’ Love! campaign, I headed over to their website to check things out.

I discovered that BloomNation supports local communities by partnering with independent florists and showcasing their handcrafted arrangements. Every order you place with BloomNation is always hand-delivered and always created by a local florist. I LOVE that!

I also love that you can browse all of the florist’s shops on BloomNation, and view lots of photos of their arrangements. It’s so convenient to have so many options on just one website!

On the Road in March!

I feel like I start every one of these posts with the same kind of phrasing: “I can’t believe we’ve already gone through another month.”

But it’s TRUE! And here we are, having just finished out the first quarter of 2015. If you have a goal for this year, folks, get it done! Times a wastin’!

Lots happening here on the blog in the past month! Without further ado, here are the top posts:

1. More Reasons to Love Hometalk – I’m telling y’all, if you haven’t started using Hometalk, you’re missing out! Which is evident by the number of views on THIS post!

DIY Flower Project – Courtesy of Bloominous!

What are your thoughts on fresh flowers?

I happen to adore them. Which is rather amusing, since I’m highly allergic to them. HA!

I love all things bright and colorful and blooming. The list of trees I want to add to our yard is full of blooms and pollens…and my husband can’t understand why I want to purposely make myself have allergic fits.

I’m not sure I fully understand it myself, but all I know is, there’s nothing that finishes a yard off like a blooming tree with a carpet of blooms underneath. Or that finishes off a dinner like a simple vase filled with fresh flowers on a dining room table. It’s perfection, I tell you. (**Holds back a sneeze**)

Besides that, did you know that tomorrow is actually National Plant a Flower Day?! I kid you not! So when Songhua Hu contacted me to see if I’d like to do a blog post on his company, Bloominous, I was thrilled to comply!

Have you heard of Bloominuous?

I’ve seen references to the company around the land of blogging, but I had never stopped to see exactly what the deal was. Flowers. Great! But Bloominous is so much more than flowers!

Transforming an Outdoor Space – A Guest Post!

Summer is in full force here in Central Florida, and many take advantage of the season by reinventing their outdoor spaces! (Myself included – you may have read my post where I was dreaming about my patio?!) So when Jenny from Tesco contacted me to see if she could write an article exactly along those lines, I was thrilled! I hadn’t heard of Tesco previously, but after visiting their site, I decided that they offer some fantastic items! Here’s what Jenny had to say…

Creating and maintaining a beautiful garden is hard work. Many amateur gardeners strive to create a beautiful natural space but don’t necessarily know where to begin. Improving an existing garden can seem a daunting task for many, but in reality there are several great ways to create the perfect outdoor space or transform an existing space from a run-down or overgrown jungle to a well-maintained beautiful garden. Here are few great tips for sprucing up a garden.

Much like any indoor space, the place where everyone ends up spending the most time is where they feel most comfortable. Don’t spend a fortune on fancy looking (but wildly uncomfortable) furniture when something simple and utilitarian will do. There are a range of garden tables and chairs available everywhere from the internet to charity shops so be sure to compare prices and quality before making any purchases. A picnic table or some outdoor sofas can quickly turn a garden from a space to observe to a place to experience. Be sure that outdoor furniture purchases are able to withstand the elements or if they will be taken in during winter, that there is suitable space for storage.
