A million thanks to At Home, for partnering with all of us on this Fall Home Tour! #myreason
You may have heard me say that Fall is my favorite. Well, it’s true. I LOVE FALL. But, if there is one downfall of living in Florida, it’s that Fall is pretty hard to come by. I mean, seriously. It’s the beginning of October, and our highs are still in the 90’s. Yeah.
So, when it comes to my love for Fall, I have to make the season change INSIDE my house. That’s #myreason for doing all this Fall decorating! When the calendar proclaims it Fall, I start baking all things pumpkin. I change my candles and soaps to Fall scents. Hey, I would even crank our air conditioner down if my husband would let me!
So, if you wanna see, do come along with me for a tour of Fall…inside our home!
First of all, welcome to our home!
It’s your standard 4 bedroom 2 bath house, in a cozy little development where we know our neighbors, and the resident kids play football in our front yard because it’s the biggest!
According the calendar, it’s now summer! Well…it’s been summer for a while now – but I’m not as quick on the draw as I used to be, that’s for sure! All I know is, school is out, the temps are rising, and I am officially the hottest pregnant-with-twins-woman who has ever been on the face of the planet pregnant with twins. I really am. In fact, what’s the hottest planet? Is it Mars? Maybe THAT’S the face of the planet I’m on. I’m HOT, y’all. I KNOW it’s summer!
So, if it’s summer, then of course, it’s time for me to reveal my Summer Holiday Shelf! Here we go…
The more shelf designs I do, the more I think that simple is best. But I love how this one pops with the yellow, black and white!
Well, folks, today marks the first day of my third trimester, and also the first day of the last week of June! You know what that means?! Time for all things 4th of July! (Which, of course, includes some decorating!)
I’ve sorted through all of my patriotic decor, and most of it is up around the house now. I’ve always loved red, white and blue – maybe because July 4th is my mom’s birthday, and my family always celebrates! So when Amelia from LuxeDecor contacted me about a post on decorating for the 4th of July, I was excited for some fresh ideas. You’ll love these!
Summertime is all about family, fun and fireworks. The Fourth of July is the perfect excuse to host a big BBQ or all-night backyard bash. And while the explosive evening light show is often the focus of the day, there are many more inspired ideas for setting the stage for a festive occasion.
Here a few outdoor decorating tips just in time for that sparkly mid-summer soiree full of glowing night skies.

An innovative holiday hack, taking a cruiser bicycle and making it into a red, blue and white display will instantly add cheer to any airy celebration. Pom poms, miniature American flags and large red stars pinned to a two-wheeler will help set the tone for a boisterous bash. Bonus: a patriotic bike works well for a Fourth of July parade.
Welcome to January, folks! Are you still keeping your New Year’s Resolutions?! (I had to ask, I’m sorry!)
Let’s take a post and look back on the top 5 posts from the month of December, why don’t we?
Of course, you’ll see a little bit of Christmas, but that’s to be expected. You’ll see some non-Christmas, as well!
Here we go…
1. 10 Ways to Stuff Your Christmas Ornaments! – Now is actually a great time to look at this one, because you can get a jump start for next year!
Well, it’s December 7, and almost all of my decorations are up now – how’s it lookin’ over at your house?
One of the things folks always like to check out here on the blog is my holiday shelf! And since it’s done now, I figured now is the perfect time to share!
