My normal cleaning routine took a turn for the non-routine when the twins were born. Now, with the girls an entire 6 months old (where is the time going?!), I think I may finally be getting the hang of housekeeping once more. The big lesson I’ve had to learn is: I can’t do it all at once.
Pre-kiddos, I used to be able to spend a few hours in one morning cleaning the house, and it would stay pretty clean for about a week or so. Now, I’m excited if I get one bathroom cleaned by the end of the day! HA!
But there are a few things that I’ve made sure I maintained as clean once I got them there. Since I’m prepping adult food and baby food and formula there multiple times a day, the kitchen is something that has stayed clean at our house.
So when Alyssa Winters contacted me and asked if I wanted to post a piece on keeping a kitchen fresh and clean, I was all about it! Hopefully she’s got some tips I’m not already using – I’m all for improving my techniques!
The kitchen is one of, if not THE messiest room in your entire house. This is why it is a challenge to keep it clean, since you surely don’t want to serve food that is prepared in a non-sanitized environment.
