These days it seems pretty easy to get hooked up with a subscription box. Right? Clothing…specialty food…books…there are even boxes for our pets! And while the idea of getting something other than bills in the mail is pretty appealing to me, I never really came across a box that I thought I could totally get on board with…until now. I’ve found it, folks! I’ve found “the one”!
The Essentially Simple Box is a brand new 100% pure, therapeutic-grade essential oil kit! I kid you NOT! This box is for those who want to improve their quality of life and are curious about the amazing benefits of essential oils but are not sure where to start. (Ding ding ding! We have a winner!!!) Essentially Simple literally simplifies the complex world of essential oils by introducing subscribers to one new oil each month, and teaching them how to create several natural home products so they can have a healthier and more vibrant life. Hello! Isn’t that what we ALL want?
Now, if you’ve been around the blog for any length of time, you know that I’m just starting to get into essential oils. While I LOVE them, and the benefits they can provide my family, I won’t lie: I’m also pretty overwhelmed by them. So when I was offered the opportunity to check out Essentially Simple’s first box ever…well. Count me IN!
From the get-go, the attention to detail was clear and much appreciated. I mean, down to the seal that held the entire package together!
If you’ve been reading the blog for any amount of time, you know how much I LOVE organization! I don’t mind organizing just about anything – something I’ve organized countless times before or a brand new challenge – I care not! Bring it on! But, I have to say, two of my favorite organizing tools are boxes and baskets.
Why, you ask? Okay, so you didn’t ask, but I’m gonna tell you anyways!
1. They’re great for cubbies! (This is from my home office)
If there’s two things y’all know about me already, it’s that I HATE clutter…and that I LOVE a bargain. This being said, I’m quite the avid viewer of the Yard Sale Sites on Facebook. Have you seen them? If not, do a search on Facebook for a Yard Sale site for your town/city/county. People post anything and everything on these sites! You can get some great deals, and even haggle prices, right on Facebook!
Anyways, we have a room at the new house call “The Project Room”. The reason for this is, it’s basically an extra bedroom that we’re not using yet. We never really anticipated getting a 4-bedroom home yet, it just kind of happened that way. Down the road, that will be the nursery (and NO, I’m not insinuating or announcing that I’m pregnant!) but for right now, we’ve left it pretty empty. Except for having “stuff” in it.
This “stuff” was stuff I gathered and people gave us while we were looking for homes. When we bought the house and moved in, all the “stuff” that didn’t have a home was put in this room, awaiting the time when it would find its spot around the house. Well, after a while I found out that it wasn’t meant to have a place in the house. So I started posting and selling it on the Yard Sale sites in my area.
Sometimes this requires mailing items to folks. They offer to pay shipping and handling above the cost of the item, and I pack it up and send it off to them!
Except I had been packing and sending a lot…and I ended up with no packing materials left for this last shipment.
So I made my own – with trash bags.
If you blow some air into a trash bag, and then knot it closed, leaving some air inside, it creates a nice little cushion perfect for packing! See?
