It’s a busy life these days, isn’t it? Especially as we’re gearing up to finish out this school year! We’re always running to an important event, toting along the littles in our lives, and, although they normally go with the flow pretty well, every once in a while a drink or a snack is needed. If proper planning has fallen by the wayside, frazzled caregivers find it easiest to run through a drive-through and grab something for the hungry monsters, and while that meets the need in the moment, it defeats the purpose of raising healthy kids in the future!
I worked my way through college as a nanny for triplet boys, plus their baby brother. Snacks were a BIG deal! And the bigger the boys grew, the bigger their snacking appetites got! Sure, it was nice to have milk and cookies ready for them after school…but there are so many more healthy options that really are a lot more FUN!
