Welcome to the Home Matters Linky Party #171! My question for you today is…are you BORED yet? This week’s THEME is Snow Day Ideas – Rock the Boredom! Are you snowed in? Are you bored? Do you need some fresh ideas to keep you busy this time of year? That’s what today’s post is all about! And I’m SO excited to share it with you! #SnowDayIdeas #HomeMattersParty
Snow Day Ideas – Rock the Boredom + HM #171
Here are five inspiring ideas for from around the blogosphere to keep you NOT bored this time of year!
Spectacular Snow Day Activities with My Boys from Rachel @ Craving Some Creativity
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Party Menu & Recipes from Bryt @ In Literature
Organizing Your Photos: How to Get Started from Andi @ Good Life Organizing
How to Find Ancestors Who Came to the U.S. Through Ellis Island from Beth @ Living with Beth
Just a Little Closet Organization from Kristen @ The Road to Domestication
So…looking at my ideas, you can see what some of MY favorite things to do when I’m bored are! I have a spot where I write down fun things (things I always think of to do when I’m super busy) and when things slow down and I’m looking for a new activity, I go back to that list. It’s like a “bored notebook” instead of a bored jar, but I LOVE the idea of a jar! My hubby and I also LOVE movies, so why not do a movie marathon day and theme all your meals that day around the movies?! I mean, how fun is that?! After that I turn practical. I’m in the midst of scanning tons of old photos for our family – the next time I’m bored I’ll definitely be starting in on that project again. And don’t get me started on the ancestry research. I got stuck when all my mom’s relatives started speaking Dutch back in the day, and I can’t understand that language! But it’s “on my list” of things to work on when I get bored! But, my never-fail way to get rid of boredom and get some instant gratification is to organize a closet! I hope at least one of these ideas knocks the boredom out of you!
