We’ve heard it over and over again. “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.”
I’ve actually found that to be true for me, just because I tend to have low blood sugar issues – so you can find me eating breakfast almost any day of the week! I can definitely tell a difference in my energy level throughout the day if I don’t.
So when Van’s reached out and reminded me that February is National Hot Breakfast Month, I thought it was a great thing to draw some attention to…especially since I discovered that 31 millions Americans alone skip breakfast every morning! 31 MILLION! That’s just crazy!!!
Now, you’ve known me to talk about Van’s before – specifically their waffles. I ADORE Van’s waffles, probably because it was the first gluten-free item my mom found for me when I was a college freshman and I had just been diagnosed with Celiac Disease. You have no idea how much hope those Van’s waffles gave me! And they’re still one of my favorite breakfast foods to this day!
Plus, with 25 varieties of waffles offered by Van’s, all of them made from fresh wholesome ingredients, how can you go wrong? Van’s fiber- and whole-grain-rich Gluten Free Ancient Grains Waffles are made from a mix of nutritious whole grains including brown rice, millet, teff, buckwheat, amaranth, sorghum and quinoa. Gluten Free Ancient Grains Waffles have 32 grams of whole grains – and 6 grams of fiber – per serving. Egg- and dairy-free, this waffle is a deliciously nutritious way to start the day!
Not to mention Van’s Power Grains Waffles! They are the first nationally available high protein waffles. Each serving, made with cracked red wheat and steel cut oats, offers 10 full grams of protein – more than an egg. Like all of Van’s products, Power Grains are made with high-quality ingredients and frozen for freshness so they don’t contain preservatives.
Now, if you aren’t a waffle person, no worries: Van’s also offers cereals, French toast sticks, pancakes and granola, too! All fantastic options to make you leave your non-breakfast-eating habits behind for good!
But Kristen, you might say, I seriously DON’T have time to eat breakfast! You don’t know my life! You don’t know what I’ve been through! You have no idea how crazy my mornings are! Breakfast is the last thing on my mind!
I’ve got you covered there, too.
These are absolutely delicious, and they fit nicely in your purse. And, if I may take a moment to speak from personal experience, they are EXCELLENT for morning sickness. I don’t go anywhere without them anymore. And although they’re a “snack bar”, if this is what you have time for when it comes to breakfast, this is much better than nothing! Check out their other bar flavors: Banana Bread, Chocolate Chip, and Peanut Butter Chocolate! Not to mention the Gramwhich, Blueberry & Peanut Butter and Strawberry & Peanut Butter!
Have I talked you into becoming a breakfast eater yet? Well, just in case I haven’t done enough, Van’s is going to step in now, with a giveaway! How about some free Van’s products to get you started?!
Good luck, everyone!
