Just a little overview for any new readers: I wanted to do a week of Christmas home tours here on the blog, so I’ve hand-selected five ladies who have invited me into their homes to view their Christmas decor. And I’m sharing it with all of you!
And to finish out our week…are you ready?
Mallory’s Home – A Very Shabby Christmas
Meet Mallory:
Mallory has been decorating in the Shabby Chic style since before it was a designer craze! Most of her home is decorated in Shabby fashion, and her Christmas decor is no exception.
Mallory starts outside her home when it comes to decorating for Christmas! Although I visited during the day, and wasn’t able to see the full affect of the outdoor lights, all the little details were gorgeous in the daylight!
Let’s take a peek inside, shall we?
I love all the different elements she’s used in her entryway!
Just to the right of the entryway is her formal dining room:
Check out that centerpiece!
Mallory’s 3-year-old daughter helped her pick out the sticks and hang the festive balls and bells on each one. With a sheer, fluffy runner and a few more intricate details, it all comes together beautifully!
The mantle is brightened up, too…
…and the beautiful china hutch is decked out!
LOVE this teapot!
Next is one of Mallory’s favorite pieces in her entire home.
Goodness, the possibilities are ENDLESS with that door!!!
Moving on to the kitchen…
The scale is another of Mallory’s favorite pieces!
And can you tell that she loves cupcakes?!
A few more special details in the kitchen…
Isn’t that little hot cocoa station the cutest? I don’t know how she keeps it so neat like that – we’d be drinking hot chocolate ALL THE TIME at my house!
A fun little jingle bell tree sits atop the bar…
…and the kitchen’s eating area is decorated, too!
I really like the little utensils hanging on this tree!
Since Mallory has two little ones, the manger scene is kid-friendly!
And the fireplace is a beautiful reminder of friends and family.
The tree is a family tree, filled with keepsake ornaments!
(Did you spot the Elf on the Shelf? The elf at this home is named Bobby!)
This is Mallory’s favorite ornament…
…and this is her hubby’s favorite!
The wheelbarrow filled with Christmas books at the base of the tree is a fun and perfect touch!
I also LOVE how she decorated the top of her console table…
…and the fun little details she has scattered around the house, like this sign that hangs on the bathroom door:
“When people come into our home, I want them to just want to curl up on the couch and stay for a while,” Mallory commented. I think she achieved her goal, don’t you? And can you believe she did ALL of this Christmas decor in ONE DAY?! Superwoman!!!
Thanks so much for having us in your home, Mallory! She has such a talent for putting all the details together, doesn’t she?
Well, folks, that’s the end of this year’s Christmas Home Tour! I hope all of you enjoyed what you’ve seen, and I hope you’re inspired to do some neat things with your Christmas decor this year, as well! Again, many thanks to Tammy, Krysta, Tania, Kitty and Mallory for allowing me to come into their homes, take tons of pics and share them with all of you! You ladies are amazing, and now everyone knows it!!!
I love that hot chocolate station she has set up. What a neat idea. Mallory’s decorations are beautiful and very festive.
I know, I thought it was so cute!
Oooh, how fun! What a cozy holiday home!
So very cozy! She will LOVE that you think that!
Mallory did a wonderful job of her Christmas decorating. That’s my favorite style and I really enjoyed each photograph. It gives inspiration.
Awesome, Francene! That was my goal, to inspire others to make their homes beautiful for Christmas!
I love the Shabby Chic way of decorating! What fun, and how talented is Mallory!!
It’s so unique, and yes, she is VERY talented!!!
These houses have been absolutely beautiful! I don’t know if I’m blind or what but I couldn’t find the Elf. I looked at the picture for a ling time too! 🙂
HA! He’s there 🙂 Mallory’s 3-year-old pointed him out to me very quickly LOL
Love Mallory’s decorations! I would definitely want to curl up and stay for a while. 🙂 Kristen, this has been a wonderful series. I have thoroughly enjoyed your Christmas tour! 🙂

Life With Lorelai
Oh, she will love that you feel that way 🙂 I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed the tour!
What a warm and comfortable style. It’s clear she put lots of thought into it all but at the same time made it ‘feel’ like anyone could come in and not worry at all about bumping into or touching all these special little spots in her home. I love the twigs n Christmas balls idea (may try this too) and really like the bell tree a lot. I am going to be lost next week with your tour being over, can I request next year you do the whole month?!! hahaha.. I know it must have been an enormous task and it was done so perfectly. Bravo friend 🙂
Oh dear mercy, there’s no way I have enough sanity left to do the whole month! HA! You are too kind, though 🙂 And yes, her style is warm and comfortable, just like she is. I believe she could make anyone feel like they’re welcome in her home!
I love the different elements she uses to decorate. From the old shutter on the porch, to the kitchen scale, everything is so unique. The broken china pieces that decorate the top of the small table in the entryway reminds me candy cane pieces. Love it!
I know it! I would never think to put things together like that, but she does it so well!!!
What a fun home! I just adore all of the little touches of red throughout – it makes the shabby chic so classy! ~Renee
Very much so!
All of these decors are fabulous 🙂 Love them all. What beautiful pictures, totally pinworthy 🙂
Ooo, thank you, Vinma 🙂
Thanks so much for the tour! I enjoyed the pictures of all the cool stuff. Great Christmas decor! Beautiful!
I’m so glad, Alli! I’m ready to see YOUR Christmas decor! 🙂
What a tour you brought to your readers, loved it. I like todays the best, I wish I could join her for a cup of hot chocolate and chat about design. Also, I am pretty sure I owe some of those plates use has in her mosaic table…that was kinda funny!
I’m sure y’all would get along famously! As long as she doesn’t try to break any of your plates, right?! HA!
Wow that is a lovely home! I love all of the decorations. I really love the tree with the wheelbarrow of Christmas books. That is really beautiful.
So cute! And kid-friendly for her little ones, too!
I love how she mixes vintage salvaged items with contemporary accents. This home has to look marvelous during all seasons. I love it!
It’s really a fabulous house, Christmas or not!
I’ve enjoyed this Christmas Tour of Homes, so fun to peek at other’s decorations. This is my fav, LOVE the Shabby Chic! My Grandchildren named their Elf on the Shelf, Buddy….he is so sly and fun!
So glad you’ve enjoyed it, Shirley!
It is so georgeous. She does it in one day? Three years old kid can help? Fantastic.
Yep, she did it all in one day! The 3-year-old was a helper 🙂 The 1-year-old…not so much, HA!
I love the rustic charm of this one. Now that I see the amazing things 3 year olds can help to do I’m going to have to get my toddler involved in this next year. This year we’re not decorating since we won’t be here so she’s definitely going to get in on it. 🙂
Oh, I’ll bet Madison would love to lend her creativity!
I love the vintage mix with contemporary feel. This is just beautifully done with the right mix.
Exactly! She does a great job!
I really enjoyed seeing her house! I kept finding a new “favorite” part of it in just about every photo!
Yay! So glad you enjoyed it!
I love all the Christmas trees they have up! This whole series has been beautiful!
I’m glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
I almost missed this one and I think it is my favorite! So pretty and homy, thank you for sharing it with us!
You’re very welcome, Anna! Such fun this whole series was!
