Well, it’s December 7, and almost all of my decorations are up now – how’s it lookin’ over at your house?
One of the things folks always like to check out here on the blog is my holiday shelf! And since it’s done now, I figured now is the perfect time to share!
Oh, if you want to see what last year’s Christmas Holiday Shelf looked like, CLICK HERE! This year, I went with something very simple yet entirely meaningful.
Yep! It’s my Willow Tree nativity!
This used to sit on a console table in our living room, but we’ve recently purchased new furniture, and switched lots of things around. When we brought out all the Christmas decor, I realized I had no place for the nativity! What to do, what to do…
This was the perfect solution!
I love all things Willow Tree. Or, as my husband calls them, things with no faces. He just doesn’t get it. But it doesn’t matter to him whether he gets it or not. He has been buying me a piece of this manger scene each year for as long as we’ve been together. Isn’t that sweet?! I wonder what I’m getting this year…
I just love the detail that comes with each of these figurines…
Something about the simplicity of each piece just brings peace to my heart and a smile to my face. After all, as far as I’m concerned, they represent the true reason for the Christmas season!
And there you have it!
Do you have a favorite nativity at your home? What about another piece of Christmas decor that holds much meaning for you?
