Life Hacks for Surviving a Camping Trip with Kids

My hubby keeps bringing up going camping with our girls.

Okay, folks. First of all, I don’t like camping. Second of all, the girls are not quite two yet. I see disaster written all over this – do you? (If you don’t, I’m happy to explain it to you! HA!)

But since it keeps on getting brought up in our conversations, I decided that, since there are hacks for all kinds of things these days, there’s got to be some hacks for camping with kiddos. Right?

I mean, have you thought about going camping with your kids? Maybe you have taken your kids on a camping trip and it was awful. No matter if you have never been camping with your kids or have taken them out several times, the following hacks will provide you (and me!) with ways to take your camping trip with kids to the next level. Organization

When it comes to camping with kids, being organized is going to go a long way. One of the best things that you can do is to purchase some clear tubs to pack all of your supplies in. Clear tubs allow you to see what is inside, which makes it easier to find what you need when you need it.

Giving Toys to Children: The Educational Benefits

We’re coming up on the “big 2” at our house – I can’t believe I’ve been a mom for almost two entire years to two entire little people – it’s CRAZY, I tell you! The days are definitely long, but I’m thankful for the opportunity to love such amazing little humans. And, because my little humans are loved by others, too, I’m already getting the questions of, “What kind of toys should we get them for their birthday?”

Even if you’re not a parent, you’ll know that spark kids get in their eyes when they walk into the toy store. That’s because kids simply love toys. They’ll find something or the other if you set them free in the store and will beg for you to buy it for them because they just can’t survive without it.

More Than Fun and Games

The truth of the matter, however, is that toys are more than just fun and games for many kids. Toys are, in fact, tools to help nurture, grow and develop their minds and bodies, while provide them with an opportunity to keep on learning.

Toys can be an engaging way to help kids develop character and manage emotions to develop confidence, especially if they play in groups. Every parent knows that a good toy is one that stimulates the imagination of a child and encourages social interaction with other people.

Things to Do in Las Vegas (Besides Gambling)

Y’all, it’s happened. My very “thrifty” husband has decided that he and I need a getaway.

OH, THE BLISS! The girls are 22 months old and I have yet to spend a night away from them. I mean, I’m not complaining. I’m just saying – it might just be time!

So he told me to pick a place. PICK A PLACE. I mean, how on earth can I do that?! So many places! So little time! I was trying to think of a place where people go spontaneously, so of course, Vegas came to mind. But, although my in-laws love the casinos and actually do pretty well at any casino they visit, the hubby and I don’t care much for them. So really – why ELSE would you even GO to Vegas?

las-vegas-1128811_1920

For many people the idea of Las Vegas is synonymous with gambling. And it it no surprise, considering the fact that in 2017 alone, Las Vegas Strip casinos generated $6.47 billion in gaming revenue, with the most prominent casinos reporting as much as a  3.9 percent increase in total revenue including rooms, food, beverage and gaming over 2016. It is clear that gambling represents an overwhelmingly large portion of Las Vegas’ total annual revenue.

Superhuman Energy: Exercise & Nutrition for Impressive Daily Productivity!

As a parent and business owner, it seems like there is an endless list of things to be done each day and a limited amount of energy with which to complete those tasks. I mean, am I right? Do you feel like that, too?

Most folks talk about the “afternoon slump”. They grab another soda and resolutely slog towards the end of the day. We’ve all been there. (In fact, we frequently discuss this topic here on the Road To Domestication.)

Very busy multitasking housewife on white background. Concept of supermom and superwoman.

Cracking the code on maintaining a high energy state throughout the day and continuing with productivity at your peak without stopping is one of those elusive grails that, once mastered, will change your life! Here is a simple system that you can begin implementing tonight. It takes about a month to get into the rhythm of it, but once you’ve mastered these steps, you’ll be amazed at how much work you get done every day. Are you ready?!
