Make Bathroom Cleaning Fun (Really!) With Grove Collaborative + Mrs. Meyers

I’ve been on a big lavender kick these days. You ever do that? Get hooked on a particular smell? Even now, I can smell my lavender essential oils diffusing across the house, and I LOVE it! What if everything around this house could smell so good? Even the bathrooms! A girl can dream, right?!

I mean, I do the best I can, but it’s no secret that cleaning the bathroom isn’t my favorite task. That’s okay – I’ve found something that makes it much easier to clean my least-favorite-to-clean area of my home, and it’s name is Mrs. Meyers!

In fact, one of my favorite things to do is scrub down my bathroom sinks with Mrs. Meyer’s Tub & Tile (the lavender scent, of course!) and then wash my hands with the Mrs. Meyer’s Hand Soap in lavender, as well! These products have really made me WANT to clean our bathrooms, if you can believe that. And there’s a few other ways I can talk myself into cleaning the bathrooms:

Make it a game: Cleaning the bathroom always feels like it takes forever, but you’d be surprised how little time tasks actually take. I like to set a timer like my mom used to do and see how quickly I can complete each task. For example, it only takes one minute to wipe down the counters and sink — and makes a huge difference in how clean our bathroom feels. Who knew?

On the Road to Conception

This is a sponsored conversation from Mums the Word Network and The Stork OTC. All opinions are my own.

By now, most of you have seen me reference our twins, Baby G and Baby M, here on the blog. Seven months old they are now – I can hardly believe it!

But if you are fairly new to the blog, you may not know the story behind our sweet girls. (If you want the FULL story, just look up at the tabs along the top of the page you’re on and select the “Our Infertility, Pregnancy, Birth Story & Resources” tab – you’ll get all the details! (Or just CLICK HERE!)

In a nutshell, my husband and I tried for three years to get pregnant. One of those years we devoted to trying everything “medically” possible to get pregnant – which made for an EXTREMELY rough year. If you’ve had a similar experience and tried some of the same things we did, you KNOW just how hard it can be! You know the conversations you had to have with your partner were uncomfortable enough, but to have to have those conversations, with your doctor(s), too? It’s not for the faint of heart!

And then there are the conversations that you have to have with those around you!

You’re familiar with the questions. “How long have you guys been married now? When are you planning on having some kiddos?” “So, do you ever want to have kids? Or do you plan on being one of those people who just focuses on their career?” Or the famous comment, “You’re not getting any younger, you know!” (Thanks. I wasn’t aware of that at all. I’m so glad you pointed that out!)

Introducing: Little Jacs, from Bil-Jac!

**PLEASE NOTE: While Bil-Jac DID provide me with this product to review at no cost, I was not in any way paid for my review. The following opinion is hereby my own.**

Hi, everyone! Taffy the White Doggie here!

Mommy decided to let me take over the blog for today, since she’s been pretty busy. Actually, we’ve ALL been pretty busy around the house lately. The reason? I have two new baby sisters!

Well, they’re getting kinda big now. But not too big. Seems like they’re growing fast, though. I’m starting to wonder if I’m gonna get chased here pretty soon. Yeah, probably. But for now, I’ve been trying to help where I can.

On Comparing Planners – Erin Condren vs. Plum Paper

**PLEASE NOTE**

There is still a HUGE planner giveaway happening until midnight tonight! Head over and enter if you haven’t yet done so! —> CLICK HERE <—

There are tons of digital ways to plan and schedule life these days. And, contrary to what you might think, I would LOVE to go digital in my planning. I really would! In fact, I used to BE a digital planner…until that fateful day when my computer calendar didn’t sync with my email or my phone, and I didn’t realize it. Well, I didn’t realize it until I had already missed two meetings and let down an excellent client. At that point, I decided to trust good ol’ pen and paper once more, and, no matter how much wishful digital planning thinking I do, I just can’t get past the fact that a sync might not happen once more. I just can’t do it.

So, a couple years back, I decided that, if I was going to do old-fashioned pen and paper planner, I wanted it to be fun and pretty and colorful! I wanted to be able to mark important events in style, and sometimes use the planner as more of a journal when it came to specific events. In lieu of all that, I purchased an Erin Condren planner.
