New Product Review: X-Chef Stainless Steel Garlic Press!

**PLEASE NOTE: While X-Chef DID provide me with this product to review at no cost, I have not in any way been paid for my review. The following opinion is hereby my own.**

We just had an amazing weekend here in Central Florida, y’all! Started out with a bit of drizzle on Saturday morning, but cleared up beautifully, and we had temps in the 50’s for the rest of the day Saturday and all day Sunday! Gorgeous!

That’s what’s called “soup weather” in Central Florida. We don’t get much of this weather, so we have to make the most of it, and I decided to do just that with some of my homemade chili! One of my hubby’s favorites!

One of the ingredients in my chili happens to be a couple cloves of garlic. Pressed, of course. But I’ve been using jarred minced garlic for a while, because I’ve hated the nasty mess of a garlic press for quite some time now.

So when X-Chef asked me to review their Stainless Steel Garlic Press, I figured it was just another frustrating kitchen utensil. But apparently I wasn’t quite right in that that assumption.

First off, this garlic press is a heavy duty piece of equipment! Stainless steel, it’s not gonna be breaking on you anytime soon, I can promise you that. And I love the hooks on the bottom for easy storage!

But what sets this garlic press apart from others is the fact that it has 3 pieces to it:

See?! You’re not just popping the cloves into a pocket and squishing them! The third piece makes this utensil super easy to use AND clean!

And the other fantastic thing about this X-Chef Stainless Steel Garlic Press is that it comes with a free silicone tube garlic peeler!

Now, don’t laugh, but I had no idea what a garlic peeler was! I had to ask my friend Alli from An Alli Event (if you’re not a regular over at her blog, you should go check it out!) and she explained it to me. Thanks, Alli!

So you take the garlic cloves…

…insert them into the tube and roll them around a bit underneath your palm.

Ta-da! All the skin is gone!

Super easy, and MUCH better than getting your fingers all stinky!

All that’s left is to pop the cloves into the press…

…and press away!

Easy peasy!

And the clean-up is just as easy. One rinse and there wasn’t even a tad bit of residue left over! (And the silicone garlic peeler cleans just as easy, too!)

To sum up, here are 5 reasons why YOU would LOVE an X-Chef Garlic Press of your own!

  1. It easily minces garlic in one press
  2. It has a large capacity basket
  3. You’ll have no more stinky “garlic hands”
  4. It has heavy duty quality construction that anyone can use effortlessly
  5. It’s backed by a lifetime guarantee – and you get the FREE Silicone Garlic Peeler

  1. I need this in my life! I absolutely love cooking with garlic but I’m lazy about chopping and peeling it! I usually end up buying the pre-minced stuff, but it just doesn’t taste the same as fresh!

  2. A good garlic press is always a blessing. I got my friend one for her wedding shower (a heavy duty one) and someone else got her a cheap plastic one that matched the colors for her kitchen. Being the good friend I am, I handed her the receipt and said no hard feelings. 6 months later, she tells me that plastic one broke and she had to go out and buy the exact one I had bought her. She’s learned that if I saw something is a good kitchen gadget, it’s the truth.

  3. I hate garlic hands! Sadly I often get them because I have yet to find a garlic press that doesn’t blow!
This one looks really good. I don’t know that I use garlic enough for it to be worth the investment but it does look like a good one.

  4. Maybe I should get one of these…I’d probably cook more with garlic! I like the part that Alli explained…huh, so easy. Who kne?! I had a little gighle becausrvI cannot believe that is allnthere is to it. Thank you for the review!!!!!

  5. I would love to get one of these for my husband. I always get him to deal with the garlic for me and this would be much easier to have around!

  6. I didn’t know that was a garlic peeler either! It would save my palm from smelling like garlic pressing down on it, that’s for sure! Looks like this is a great press. Thanks for sharing!

  7. I have to admit that I have a garlic press (where is that thing?), yet I usually buy minced garlic, too. I think I need to ditch that old press and upgrade to this one. I love that it has hooks for easy storage.

Oh, and thanks for the shout out! You’re so cute! Love the review!
