Okay, don’t kill me for posting about Valentine’s Day already, but I can’t help it! The Christmas decorations are down, and what’s there to decorate for next that can stay up for a while but Valentine’s Day!
I wanted to do the shelf really simple this year. Maybe it’s the fact that the Christmas shelf was borderline gaudy…I’m not sure. But I knew I wanted simple and GIRLY. I don’t get the chance to do much girly around these parts, so I wanted to express myself on this one!
Oh, if you want to see last year’s Valentine’s Day Shelf, CLICK HERE!
And now, here’s the 2015 Valentine’s Day Holiday Shelf:
Fairly simple, right? I mean, look how much “white space” I left!
The crystal candlestick-holders were a wedding gift. I use them on Valentine’s Day when I make my hubby a candlelight dinner. (Okay, who are we kidding – I normally pick up steak dinners and bring them home…but I DO add candlelight!)
The “rose balls” came from a local crafting warehouse here called Southern Hospitality (SOHO for short), and the fluffy pleated ribbon from Hobby Lobby!
I added these little “sparklies” for some simple filler and to coordinate with the candlestick-holders.
So, what’s this personalized giveaway, you ask? Well, did you see the little print in the middle?
Isn’t that fun?! I saw something similar on Pinterest, but wanted to make my own, so I did! And whoever wins the giveaway…I’ll make YOU one! You can choose whether you want me to email you the digital file or snail mail you an actual copy! You can also choose what size you would like: 4X6, 5X7 or 8X10. Yours will look JUST like this – but will have you and your sweetheart’s name on it, of course! You can enter at the conclusion of this post! Good luck!
So what do you think of my Valentine’s Day Holiday Shelf? Do you like the simple girly look?
Due to the amount of comments from all of my wonderful readers, it is not always possible for me to respond to each one. However, I absolutely do read them all, and if you’d like to address something specific, or have a question for me, please don’t hesitate to email me at Kristen@theroadtodomestication.com. I will respond to your email as soon as possible! Thank you for visiting the blog!
Adorable.
I love the way it looks like a smiley face, when viewed from a distance.
I have often considered leaving the tree up year round (finally broke down and started using a nice artificial tree from Balsam Hill, because several of us were allergic to pine, it seems – at least in close quarters) – just change the decorations to match the season. I still like the idea. If it ever catches on, remember I thought of it back in the 1990s. I always say, it isn’t necessity, but laziness, that’s the mother of invention. 😉
Actually, I was so lazy I didn’t put the tree UP, this year. Poor thing’s still stuck in the attic (we spent the holidays out of town, with family). Maybe I should air it out and hang hearts from it.
Your idea, here, is much better.
I adore this little shelf idea, and I think it looks great! What a fabulous idea!
I like simple, it is elegant and not gaudy. You have to have candlelight for romantic nights.
There has been a ton of Valentine’s Day buzz in the air already, so I don’t think you’re too early at all. I love your shelf. It came out awesome.
I love your shelf. So simple and pretty! That print is absolutely adorable, and would make a great Valentine’s Day gift for my husband – uh, with our names. LOL!
Time to think about Valentine’s already! I’ll have to shake the tinsel out of my head to wrap it around the idea that it’s not too far away. The colors on your shelf really pop against the white and cream.
I think this is such a fun idea for Valentine’s Day. The framed art with your names is the cutest idea!
I love this idea! It is very cute. This reminded me that I have a Valentine’s box with some decorations around here somewhere.
What a fantastic idea for Valentines Day! Great share
Nice visuals!
I love this so much. It’s gorgeous, and it’s not over done. That’s a big one for me.

i just love your Holiday shelf and always look forward to your newest creation! Shared your giveaway
Well you are sure ready for Valentines Day!! The self looks great and that print is adoreable.
That’s a cute printable. I love easy decorating. We don’t really do V-Day because it’s my nephew’s birthday.
The shelf looks very nice! And I love that print. It’s so cute. I can’t believe you made it. Not because I doubt your talent, but because I have little crafty ability. Unless we are talking food. Lol!
You have a lot of good decorating sense. I can’t believe people are already thinking about Valentine’s day! I’m still getting out of Christmas mode.
I definitely like the simpler look. And of course I love the colors. That is a really cute idea you have there with the “couples” in the frame.
So simple yet it looks amazing.I need a little shelf in my house where I can do something like this.
This is beautiful. I am super jealous that your Christmas decorations are down. I am still looking at two trees that I need to break down.
I love that personalized print. What a great idea for your Valentine’s shelf!
Oh so sweet. Made me smile.
This is a great shelf! Your idea picking up steaks is right up my alley

That is the cutest shelf ever. I love the idea of the prints. I need to get some made for our house!
I’ve decorated the faux fireplace mantle at church for Valentine’s Day. Then it’s put away until next Christmas. Your shelf is always lovely. And it’s never too early to decorate. I love the print! Awesome.
Not early at all! I see it in all the stores already. I love this what a great idea. Super pretty!
I love it! So simple, yet elegant at the same time. And that print! Love!
That picture frame with the names of those popular pop culture couples was so insanely cute!
I’m glad I’m not the only one who has Valentine’s decorations up already lol. The shelf looks so pretty!
This is such a cute thing, I would love a personalized shelf; what an amazing give away!
You realized both your goals in your always elegant way.
What a sweet idea.
Walmart was stocking Valentine’s the day after Christmas! I definitely thought that was a mite early!
I love the mantle! It’s inspiring and now I’m getting the itch to decorate for Valentine’s Day too. Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures and the giveaway!
Even though you made it simple this time, it looks gorgeous with roses and the lovely printable
I love the idea of a Valentine’s Day holiday shelf! I’d do that in our living room!
