Well, Valentine’s Day has come and gone, so, of course, I’ve redecorated my Holiday Shelf! For those of you who are newer to the blog, I’ve always wanted a mantel to decorate to match the changing seasons, but we haven’t lived in a house with a fireplace yet. So in each home we’ve lived in, I have set up a shelf that I can decorate and have a bit of fun with as the time goes by. If you’d like to see last year’s Spring Holiday Shelf, CLICK HERE! And HERE is the one from 2013!
But, for now…
There she be! I call it: Spring is Coming! Here’s why:
On the right, everything still looks kind of “wintery”, right?
You can see that my love affair with the battery-operated candles continues, ha! Just look how pretty they are when it’s dark!
I love my little Willow Tree angel. It’s like she’s lighting the way to Spring!
And everything else is kind of glamorously rustic.
So it’s kind of like the transition from Winter to Spring, through decor! I’m getting all kinds of artsy fartsy now, aren’t I?!
Now, why on earth do I have a picture of my husband on the shelf?
First of all, isn’t he the cutest?!
Second of all, his birthday is actually on St. Patrick’s Day, so I always incorporate him into the Spring Shelf somehow. The first year we were married I did him a shelf JUST for his birthday, so you know he expects SOMETHING now! HA!
I sure do love that picture of him!
I think this side of the shelf is really more SPRING!
So what do you think of the 2015 Spring Holiday Shelf? What would you have added?
OH! Let me say this: I didn’t purchase one thing on this shelf. All of these items I already had at the house! THAT, my friends, made me quite happy!
